If you have one, please post a picture of you (or your lovely assistant) wearing/carrying/otherwise properly displaying your perfect Disney bag. Please tell me what kind of bag it is, where you got it, and approximately how much it costs.

The trouble I am finding with many of the bag recommendations is that when I go to a site like ebags or REI or LL Bean, that they do not have a picture of the bag "in action" so I can't tell how big it is, where it "rides," etc.

All pictures and reviews of your bags are GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!!!:hippie:

One is a 2006 Mickey Fanny Pac and the other is a Kipling small bag I got on ebags.com Its called the Eldorado Travel Organizer. It is perfect!:thumbsup2

I bought these from Avon. I will use them to carry around the parks, as they have a zipper and thats the main thing for me!

19.99 for all three-- good quality.

Cute!! Does the Hobo bag (one in the middle) have a long strap so you could wear it crossbody???

I just got this bag set as a gift. (The Mickey ste) It's super cute, and I will be bringing it on my trip, but I won't be able to use any of them in the parks because the straps aren't long enough, and it will chafe at my arm, especially when it has stuff inside to weigh it down.

I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be exactly what I have been looking for.

Here's what I used on our last trip. It's a backpack from Walmart that has 2 main compartments and only 12" high. I stored snacks/sandwiches in one section and my park stuff in the other. My aunt loved it and got the same style in a different color so we wouldn't get them mixed up.

Didn't get a chance to use this at Disney yet, but here's what I purchased last year from disneyshopping.com. It matches my luggage set so I really love it. It's actually a backpack but I added tote strap to it for right now.

Lots of people on these boards like the Baggallini messanger bags (do a search and you will find post and pics). They go across the body and are smallish.

I dont like across the chest type bags. I just got a Travelon convertible backpack/shoulder bag from QVC. One zip of the strap switches it from backpack to shoulder bag. The pocket that goes against your back has credit card, pen slots and a zippered mesh pocket. On each side in the middle of the bag are vertical zippered pockets to store a camera (a big one), etc. Next there is a magnetic closure pocket with a velcro pouch for a small cell phone. Some worry about the magnet affecting credit cards, etc but people who own it said it wasnt a problem. The front of the bag has another zippered pocket.

The item #F0521 and the link: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail There are pictures of it and color samples there too. I havent seen this style anywhere else. I got the black (ordered it Sunday, paid $4 extra for fast shipping and it came Tues-a day earlier than they said). The taupe will probably show dirt faster. Some have suggested spraying Scotchguard on it as well. Baggalllini makes a similar version, but didnt have as many pockets and was smaller. Plus it had a magnetic closure on the main pocket which worried me.

I always worry that someone would be able to "pick pocket" my backpack because, of course, it's behind me. I have always used a very small purse with a long strap that can go across your body. For our next trip I got a demin messenger bag with Cinderella (and sequins) on it. It's much bigger than my other bags so hopefully I'll be able to control what I put in it so it's not too heavy.

I love the look of this bag where did you get it?

I got one just like it (only purple!) from ebags.com. It was less than $20. It's very light, roomy yet small, can be carried as a back pack or on one shoulder very easily! Can't wait to try it out at WDW in April!!:cool1: My only concern about this bag is the magnet that holds the flap closed--don't want to demagnitize my tickets/room key, etc!!

Can you pry off the magnet. I had a purse with a magnet closure and not one of my credit cards would work after I used it. My husband loved this purse. :rotfl: Once I got all new cards, I pryed the magnet off and put on another fastner on it instead. Works great for me now!

Hey, Thanks! I will definitely try that! I would hate to have any of my precious Disney time spent waiting in lines to get cards fixed! :)

I thought the same thing about the bags from AVON, I have yet to use them.:confused3

I always worry that someone would be able to "pick pocket" my backpack because, of course, it's behind me.

I used to worry about this, too, but I found a solution that works for me. I searched until I found a backpack that has double zipper closings....the type where you can zip down each side of a compartment. I found very small key chains with mini carabiners on one end and I just clip that through the zipper pull tabs when my backpack is zipped closed. I think just seeing it clipped closed like that is a deterrent to pickpockets because they are looking for a quick way to slip in to steal something and this prevents that and I would definitely feel it if someone tried to open the carabiner.

I can't use a fannypack because the weight just kills my lower back and I don't like a one strap bag hanging on my shoulder because it will start hurting. I don't like the feel of a sling bag across my chest either, so I use a small backpack I bought at Wal Mart for around $6.00. It's similar to the one T. Lynn shows in her post except mine has 3 compartments...it has plenty of room for what I need to carry with me in the parks.

We take our Camelbak with us. We use one similar to this model http://www.camelbak.com/index.cfm. One section holds a water bladder that we fill halfway with filtered water each night and freeze. The next morning we fill it the rest of the way with cold water and we have drinks for the whole day (you drink through the hose attached to the shoulder of the pack so you don't need to take it off), plus our back stays cool until the ice melts. The other main compartment is where we keep our snacks, hats, cell phones, etc. We also have a small outside pocket for lip gloss, tissues/wipes, etc, as well as some stretchy cords that hold wet ponchos and such to the outside so the rest of our stuff stays dry. It's pretty waterproof and has flaps that fold over the zippers a bit so it's less likely to be pickpocketed (each compartment also has the double zippers). The only downside is that it can be heavy with the water, which is why DH carries it earlier in the day :rolleyes1 ! The faster you drink the water, the faster the weight goes down, plus there's a waist strap to help distribute the weight.

Oooooooh I'm loving those Avon bags! Not necessarily to carry around the parks, but I love them! For $20, I might have to order something from Avon for the first time in 15 years. :cool1:

By the way, I love this thread. I have tried quite a few different types of backpacks, smaller bags, bags that go from backpacks into sling bags, etc... and I still haven't found one I'd rave about. My birthday is the month before we go to WDW this year, so I think I'll ask for the Baggalini and try it out.

I am a little nervous about the magnet on this bag, but it is a really small magnet, and I plan on using one of the inside pockets to hold my credit cards. Now i'm thinking of trying it out first to see.

I don't have pics (I've never posted pics!)...I used the LL Bean Diaper Bag on the back of the stroller for non-valuables, and I carried personal stuff in the Overland Equipment Placer. They have pics with people at their web site. It was perfect...it is difficult to tell from pics, but there is a zipper pocket on top that holds stuff (small camera, cell phone, hand gel, lotion, makeup compact, lip stuff). The flap compartment was good for sunglasses, autograph pen, $$, credit cards, etc. They have a pretty good pic of this. I could move the bag from back to front, depending on my need. I even ate with it on sometimes. The only time that it was in the way was when I needed to carry DD2 since I wore the bag on the same side that I carry small children!

I also bought the Donner, but I haven't use it yet. I thought it would be good for carrying when I didn't have to carry a diaper bag, but it still can carry a good amount of stuff (it has water bottle pockets on the sides). It is similar to the Placer with a flap and zipper pocket, but it is bigger and adds the side pockets.

Bought at ebags - look for free shipping and other coupons.

Enjoy!
