Crew: Me (sharon) aged 33, Steve (dh) aged 37, Billy (ds) aged 9 and Jack (ds) aged 21 months.
Jack slept till 7.15am this morning in his own cot all night ! Billy was already up, they both had cereal and I joined them with a cup of tea, we were washed and dressed ready to go at 8.50am which is really good for us, and on our way to Animal Kingdom for the day (Billys feet and my leg permitting)
We took both cars today just incase we have to leave early. Got into the park at 9.15am and headed straight for the Kilamanjaro Safari, I thoroughly enjoyed this and we managed to see plenty of animals, being quite early in the morning, I don't remember anything about this park at all, the last time I came in 1999 I was 5 months pregnant and I think I spent 3 of the 4 hours we were in there sitting down in the shade, not this time though, after the safari had a wonder around, what a lovely park, headed towards The Lion King but the show was just beginning, so we sat down for a bit and a whole load of characters came, which the kids loved - honestly this is the most characters I have seen in one park all in the same place, made it so early for the kids to go up to them and get some brilliant photos and camera footage. Well the time had come round to go and see the Lion King - what a brilliant show Jack and Billy also seemed to enjoy themselves, Jack managed to fall asleep about 5 minutes from the end even with the loud singing and clapping from the audience, he takes after his dad in this area. Well as jack sleft we went towards Dinoland and had something to eat, I had a 1/2lb cheeseburger with back and fries and a whole load of free side compliments, onions, lettuce, mushrooms and relish and i've got to say it was the best burger i have ever had, I think the noises of satisfaction was getting on Billy and Steves nerves, i didn't care through I was enjoying myself too much.
While Jack was still asleep we went towards the Kali Rapid River ride, we met up with the others Billy and Steve went on with them, which I went to find a seat, they came off not too wet, Jack woke up so we headed towards Dino Land again to get his something to eat, on the way we seen loads more characters, Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet plus more so we got some more photos and more camera footage for our memories, it was lovely to see Jacks face light up when he seen then and hug them (this is what disney is all about)
Jack had something to eat and then me and Billy done a few rides in Dino Land and decided to call it a day, looked at the watch and it was 4.10pm, I couldn't believe how quickly today has gone, I've really enjoyed it, dropped in to see some of the photos which were taken of the kids with the characters, bought one with them with Mickey and one with Minnie.
Got in the car to go and chill for the rest of the day at the villa and stopped off at Wallmart on the way back to get some more essentials, like cookies, pop and nibbly bits, I was very brave and drove back to the villa from wallmart, even though its only about 500 metres away, I still did it, felt pretty strange though, I'm alright with the automatic because I've driven them before its just the fact that the steering wheel is on the wrong side adn I had to keep on asking steve which side of the road i had to be on !!!! parked safely though and got into the villa and let the kids have a mess around in the pool while I cooked them hotdogs for tea.
At one stage Jack had on his plate, hotdog in a batch with tomato sauce, wotsits, chocolate chip cookie and jammie dodger, he doesn't care they all go down the same hole to him.
Watched a bit of telly and steve took Jack for a walk at 8.15pm to get his asleep he arrived back 15 minutes later with the little horror looking like a complete angel fast asleep in his arms, so he put him straight to bed and we sat down with a lager and some nibbles. Watched Liar Liar with Jim Carrey which is so funny, some of the faces he pulls, then David Blain was on, some of his magic illusion is mind boggling, very clever, called it a day after that and was in bed for 10.30pm, done loads of walking around today absolutely tired me out, lots more than what you do at home thats for sure.
