There was an ugly rumor going around that the Sholtis and Reichert Families were the last ones off the Magic and had to be taken away by authorities when they handcuffed themselves to the railing and started to chant, "Heck no! I won't go!"
Yes, the Magic was late leaving Port that evening but it had nothing to do with the claw marks left by their fingernails in the decks as they were dragged away.

Last breakfast - felt like the last supper of a condemned man. Too many last hugs and tears....probably my worst time of all is having to say goodbye and leave......

Okay, advise, IF you have last seating....and you get off the ship as the last ones (9AM), you MAY have as long a wait to get your luggage checked in at Delta as we did.... We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes outside in line waiting as Delta checked in passengers and they boarded the buses to the Airport.

45 minutes to the Airport.....we got in nearly noon and decided that since our plane was due to leave in 2 hours, it wouldn't be smart for us to keep the Day Room at the Hyatt. No problem - she cancelled it for us at no charge! Very nice!

Now the wait............due to the storms that hit the Orlando area, we were delayed a very long time....don't even ask me how long because I ended up with "numb butt" and the highlight was having to walk OVER bodies to get to the bathroom.

Finally, after several hours, the planes were back in the air and we were flying back to Indy.........due to the delay and late hour we decided that it would be best to grab a bite to eat at the airport and then just spend the night at the hotel.

Nothing felt as good as the hot tub did that night at the hotel as we relaxed and talked about the previous week's activities.

Drove home the next day.....had phone calls, visitors and started to attack the mountain of laundry that somehow multiplied during the vacation. I mean, just how much did we bring, wear and what is that awful smell?!

I have exactly 75 days left til Mom, Michael and I cruise again - I hope I can recooperate by then and at least get my ironing done!

Picked up our cat (Mr. Bumpy) and dog (Kira) at the vet today (Monday) and saw a little multicolored stray kitten there....okay, so now we have a new fur baby - no name yet.....but you know me, I just have to collect my strays!

All I can say is that it was a wonderful cruise, Michael did predict great weather and we had it, and Fidelio rocks!

Great trip report. I can hardly wait for my time.

Here's a name suggestion for your new littel kitty- Magia- it is the Italian/Spanish word for Magic. It is also a very pretty name:D

Thanks! I love the name tooo!!!!

We didn't want to go home either! In fact, we really didn't have much of an appetite the last morning so we just ordered bagels and cream cheese. Our servers noticed how very SLOW we were eating those bagels....They made an announcement that all guests had to be off the ship by 9:00 and I'm proud to say we disembarked at 8:56! Missing the Magic already!

We were right behind you....kicking and screaming the whole way!

Great trip reports Rae, it seemed to go by so fast!!! Glad you, Tom, and Michael had such a MAGICal time!!!

Rae-

I didn't mean for my comment after Day 2 to sound pushy but I knew that I would get very helpful information from your reports and didn't want to leave on Saturday without reading about your adventures. I can only hope my family has as good a time as your family seemed to have.

Thanks for the great info!

Rae,

Thanks for all these great reports! Your family had such a nice time! I had fun reading them all, and am so looking forward to the October cruise!

Tina :D

Hey Rae~ is your new little fur baby a boy?? if it is, what about naming him Fidelio Rock Reichert??

Disney Dad - no problem - needed the PUSH to get them done - glad to have been there to write them. Any questions????? Hey, I might need you when I have to write a new play for the theater - thinking of something like a "high school reunion" but make it on the ship?!!!!!

Jeanny - Michael named her "Cookie".....go figure. He named the male cat years ago "Mr. Bumpy"..........

Tina - it was wonderful and boy, I can't wait til we get to go back Western so I can skip all the stuff and head right for the fun!!!!!!!
Just wish Fidelio and Dueling Pianos would be there......
That is the only disappointment for us now....

Andy - you single digit maniac! I wish I could join your family now!!!!! Things would never be the same!

It was a pleasure to meet you at the sail away. Especially after so many shrimp had made the ultimate sacrifice in your honor.

Glad that you enjoyed your cruise as much as we did. Just got back to work yesterday as we did four nights post cruise at CBR. Will write a report soon.

Don - thanks for introducing yourself to me - wish we could have had more time to chat!!!!!

Wasn't it the cruise of a lifetime!!!! Can't wait to hear your report!!!

Rae

I have to agree with that, IT WAS THE CRUISE OF A LIFETIME FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
