Day 7, Part 1: Universal: We ain't Disney

I think that I would have enjoyed Back to the Future if I had not had the back seat right next to the door. My head kept slamming against the side whenever we jerked side to side (which was often), so I tried to keep my head still throughout the ride to avoid a headache and more double vision. Instead of enjoying the attraction, I was anticipating turns and bumps and keeping my head unnaturally rigid.

I just discovered your trip reports (which are awesome) and had to commiserate about this ride. I wouldn't normally go on a motion sim because unlike you I have a stomach of jello and it doesn't like to jiggle. I'm fine on coasters, but I get very sick on anything that spins and things that vibrate a lot (motion sims, planes, buses, etc). However since I hadn't gotten airsick our last few trips I made the mistake of thinking maybe I'd outgrown it so I decided to give this one a try since I love the movie. I was in the same spot in the car as you (4 large adults crammed in the back seat so tight none of us could move). I didn't get sick, but my head was so sore when we got off from banging against the back and side and being slammed into the roof that it hurt for about 3 days.

Very funny - too bad about the disapointment at Universal. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I went (but that's probably because I was expecting so little).
