Yippee! A day at sea, a day to sleep in....oh not to be not to be....This is our Character Breakfast morning!!!! Three of the kids joined us to see the characters. Very nice...no stress. Mom and Dad went back to the room to rest....there have been a lot of early mornings this week....The boys took off, the girls went to their club and we just kind of chilled and recouped in the rooms. It felt good to lay around. About 11 bob went to the Lynn Swann speech in the Beuna Vista theater....he enjoyed that....I went to get tickets for the Galley Tour and then sat in on the Vacation Club sales presentation....That was nice...I learned a little more about that. The girls were in the atrium getting characters photos taken. Later Bob and I went to to the Galley Tour. We really enjoyed this and were wowed by the amounts of food and numbers prepared on a daily basis....This is a tour worth taking and an eye opener....as well as the cookie at the end. I recommend this tour. Back Bob and I go for more rest. The boys are up on Deck 10 tanning themselves...Isaac has chosen today to burn into his back "I love Minnie" Bob and I go up for a walk around to remind him and his brother that a burn this late in the week will not be comfortable for the ride home....not to mention we will be in the sun all day the next day at Castaway Cay. A parent reminder...but neither boy takes heed of the advice....Dinner is at Animators Palate ....Captains Gala and lobster.....PJ has called earlier in the day and asked us up to Palo for dinner with Christoff again....so we take the kids down to their dinner at Animators Palate and get them started ....and up to Palo we proceed for dinner....We are set for a lovely dinner when before appetizers are served the big storm you have all heard about begins to hit....the waves grow bigger and bigger....very loud noises when waves hit the Magic...the wind pickes up....getting harder to see out....the drinks, appetizer arrive...then PJ comes to tell us our kids are in the lobby scared....and crying. We go out and tell them not to be afraid and go down to the room and lay down in the bed...it won't be nearly as bad four floors lower. It has become quite tricky to get back to our table....holding on for dear life pulling ourselves back to the table and at this point I have had a drink so it also feels like we are walking in cement. Dinner arrives and is lovely...Christoff is wonderful...he selects the most wonderful wines to go with each course and then of course the souffle. He says they have never had an evening like this and it is quite treacherous for the servers ...but somehow they survive....we are both ready to go down lower on the ship after dessert and worrying about the little girls. We were going to go to 2 or 3 movies....but somehow it seems like the best place to be is lying flat in bed....30 ft waves....a walk around the deck shows it desserted....it sounds like many people had trouble with dinner and keeping it down this evening...lots of stories going around....it was a long rough night....it did not keep my older boys in....they were all over the ship all night long....Bob and the girls and myself went to bed early to the wild rocking ship....but yet we still found it quite calming.....We knew we were safe and ordered some cookies and milk and to sleep we went.
