Thursday, Sept 30, Day 6 (if I counted right)
We had planned to go to MK for early entry today, but after such a late night last night, decided to sleep in a little then go to Epcot instead. We got up around 7:15 (boy, that's really sleeping in) and got ready. Chris went down and got breakfast for us to eat in the room and save time. He had a Mickey waffle and bacon, I had potatoes (too dry for me) and bacon (great and crispy), the kids had cereal and milk, I had OJ and Chris had chocolate milk, total cost $22.00.
Went to the bus stop, waited probably 15 minutes for the first Epcot bus--we hadn't waited that long all week, but Epcot was the exception I guess. We got to Epcot, and rode Spaceship Earth with no wait; Trevor had been leery at first, but he loved it. All of us liked it. Chris wanted to ride Test Track, so he and Trev went to see how long the wait was; only 5 minutes, so they went on. They loved it! Isaac and I walked around and found the Jammitors; cute show, just like I remembered from last time. I was glad we got to see them, they were on my list. Chris and Trev came out while were were watching them. When they were done, Chris wanted to see about a fast pass for Mission Space; the standby line for single riders was only 5 mintues, so he did that instead. He got right on, and the boys and I went to the fountain nearby to play. He really liked it, and didn't get sick at all; he said his crew landed safely on earth, I guess that's good. We went over to Ice Station Cool; I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was different than I thought. Not bad, just different. We tried most of the sodas, I liked the watermelon one. Got DH to try the Beverly, and he said it was horrible! Took a couple pics of the "ball", then went over the teh Living Seas. Took pics outside of the Nemo exhibit, skipped the movie, and walked around and looked at the fish and marine exhibits. Trev loved the huge sea turtle, and of course all the Nemo tanks; he kept yelling out "Dory! Look Mommy, there's Dory! and Nemo! And...that's Marlin, it's a big fish like Nemo!" After that, we went over to the Land. We got on Living with the Land with about a 5 minute wait; both kids liked it, Isaac fell asleep. Trev was scared during the thunderstorm part, but he was fine after that. We were hungry, so we ate lunch in the Sunshine Season Food Fair. I had the vegetable lasagna, which wasn't what I had thought it was, and I didn't like it too well, but that's ok. DH had clam chowder and a salad, he said both were good, the boys had mac & cheese, and it was fine with them. Cost about $20. Got our pic in front of the ball on the way out, and went back for a nap.
Later, we went to MK for our dinner in the castle. It was just as I remembered from 7 years ago, even the same blue goblets! Chris and I both had the steak, it was great, Isaac had the chicken strips, and Trev had another cheeseburger. Chris was our server, and we liked her. I also had the Bibbidy Bobbidy Brew, it was a strawberry-banana smoothie, and it was awesome! Got the souvenier glass, total for dinner was around $75.
After dinner, we went on the Jungle Cruise since it had been closed on Tuesday. It was fine, corny as always, but only a 5 minute wait, so it was worth it. Then we walked around and took the train to Toontown because I had a mission: to find Minnie in her red and white dress because I had bought scrapbook paper that matched that dress, and we missed her at Chef Mickey's on Saturday night. We got in line, waited about 25 minutes, and Isaac was fussing the whole time. He did better when Chip and Dale were visiting kids in line, and actually reached for Dale; that was the first time he actually liked a character all wee. We FINALLY get to Minnie, I was so glad to be let in that room, but I didn't realize the other two princesses were in there, and she was wearing the purple princess dress. I was so disappointed! We got a picture anyway, I wanted on of Ariel too, but I didn't want to wait because Isaac was fussing (not screaming, just not happy) and people were giving us dirty looks. We made our way out of the park and got to the bus stop just as Wishes was starting. We could see quite a bit of it while we waited, that was nice.
Back to the room and got the kids ready for bed. DH went down and got us drinks and snacks and we sat outside the room for awhile, then went in for the night.
Tomorrow: Epcot, princesses, and Illuminations
