Day 5- Tuesday
EE MGM this morning. We arrive just after rope drop. ToT first lil'hook has ridden this twice before but today when we reached the elevator he did not want to ride. Tink went back and rode with Pan.
Outside ToT the Snow Queen and Cruella were holding court. Jas and Ariel went up with their autograph books and they both made a fuss over the girls artwork. Grumpy tried to push B.Snow up in her stroller to get her in the picture. The Snow Queen told him to "Watch where you're backing that thing up!!!" I think she must have scared him, because he took B.Snow out of the stroller and walked around to Cruella's side. She looked at him disdainfully and told him to "watch where you put that slobbering thing!!" It was hilarious!!!!!
Next R&R, Star Tours, snack and shop, Indiana Jones, then DN and her family went to see One Man's Dream. Tink and her group shopped a little then everyone met at 11:30 at 50's Primetime Cafe for lunch.
It was so great. We had Auntie Claire, we had her 2 years ago and I can't imagine anyone any better than her. She picked on Grumpy and called him "Sparky". She put a mermaid bib on him. (DN got a picture, same picture as 2 years ago- same bib!) Then after he ate his salad, she saw that he left the tomatoes so she cut one in half and sprinkled salt and pepper on it and fed it to him. We were dying laughing!!
We all enjoyed our food. Grumpy had Pot Roast, Tink and DN both had the Fried Boursin Cheese. It is sooooo yummy!!
Then we stopped and got our pictures on the way out of the park and shopped a little. DN bought my Pal Mickey from the photo store. This was the first one they sold out of that store. Everyone loves Pal Mickey. Hard to tell who enjoyed him more, Jas and Ariel or DN.
Back to CBR for a swim and nap.
MK that evening. We hopped on the WDWRR and got off in Toontown. We rode Barnstormer and toured Minnie's house. We saw Cinderella and Suzy in the Judges tent. Cinderella saw the picture of her and Ariel in the autograph book and she said I met you on the cruise didn't I? Ariel was so surprised and she told DN as they were leaving. "Cinderella is so smart mom, she remembered me from the cruise!"
The kids wanted face painting, and that took a little time. Even DN and Tink got a little something done around the eyes to shock the guys.
After Pirates of the Carribbean, Tink took B.Wen back to CBR. The rest of the group watched Spectromagic and then we got caught in the absolute worst gridlock we have ever encountered- on the bridge leading to the Crystal Palace. We could not see most of the fireworks because we were on the bridge and the trees blocked our view. I felt so sorry for the couple next to us. They had an autistic son and he was very upset by the fireworks. They were trying to get off the bridge and into a restaurant or shop but it was total gridlock.
When we finally got off the bridge we sat on a bench and waited for the crowd to dissipate then we headed back to CBR. The DN was ashamed at this poor planning and vowed "As God is my witness I'll never not have a perfect viewing spot again!"
We returned to the room a little after 10.
