Well this was the last day of my conference (yay!) and I had to go to all of the classes, but no biggie. I had had some really good continental breakfasts every day at the Salon at the GF where we had class, and also some really good snacks! One day our snack was warm fresh-baked pretzels, one day it was rice krispie treats in the shape of Mickey's head, with the ears covered in chocolate (!!!) and the last day we had fresh-baked cookes. Mmmmmm... it was a wonder I could stay awake in the meeting room with all those snacks, I really wanted to nap!
Anywho, the family and I took off for MGM after my classes were over and boy did we have fun. DD7 dressed up in her Jessie costume and DS3 wore his Woody costume! We had 2 cow-kids!
We decided to use 2 of the freebie lunch coupons at the ABC Commissary, which had about 1 million people in it. Which was unfortunate, b/c they only have seating for about 20. I couldn't believe how crowded it was! Instead of burgers and fries, I decided to get the Taboulah (sp?) wrap which looked good on the menu, but sad to say it was grass. Actually, it was parsley, but who can tell the difference? I kept thinking if I had some salsa to go with it, it would be bearable, but it definitely had a tough, bitter, grass-like taste to it. Oh well. The dessert (chocolate cream pie) was to die for!!
I did a couple of new things today, Rock 'n Roller Coaster (awesome! What a neat set up and how cool is that ride!!), and Playhouse Disney (cute!). We also saw Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which I was thankful to see b/c I thought the show was closed...did anyone else hear that? Such a neat show, but definitely too short. DD7 and DH did the Muppet Show, while I sat outside with DS3, he can never wear the 3D glasses for those type shows. I wanted to ride the Great Movie Ride, but it was closed for refurb.
I did some shopping and got some gifts for the family and some friends back home. Nothing like looking for Disney souvenirs in a Walt Disney World gift shop-it's all good! I felt like saying, "I'll take one of those, and one of those, and oh! two of those, and a bunch of these..."
It started to rain on us, so we headed out of the park. I had brought our $1 ponchos that we bought at WalMart and boy did they come in handy! On our way out a CM saw my Jessie and Woody and she was so excited to see them, she gave them each a pin! They each got the same pin, it's the one with Jessie and Bullseye. The kids were tickled and I was happy for them. The CM was so nice and she really did put some magic into our rainy evening!
