Day 4 – Tuesday More crying and wanting to leave. Will this ever stop!

Today we got up at 6:30 and were at the bus stop by 7. A huge accomplishment with so many people. We watched as two Magic kingdom buses came and at the second one we asked where our bus was, it had been a half an hour and we had 8 am PS’s with Donald. He called on his radio and told us a few minutes. 10 minutes later, the bus shows up and we get on. We headed straight to AK and ran to the gate, it 8 am and they still weren’t letting anyone in for PS’s. Needless to say, we were a little late but the food was good and the interaction was great. We missed Pluto completely cuz Mickey was at our table still so Pluto didn’t stop. He never came back around either. Garren didn’t eat much so we took a banana with us for later. I saw that a lot of people were doing the same. The girls cried cuz they couldn’t get autographs and take pictures of the characters at the same time. I did take pictures but they wanted some on their own camera. We got out of there in a little over an hour. Later in the day Katie will realize she left her lanyard and pins at the table and Alyson will have left her autograph book.

We walked very fast to Kilimanjaro Safari’s and it was only a 20-minute wait posted. It actually went faster than that. I got some great shots but Elizabeth and Alyson kept crying cuz they couldn’t focus and shoot fast enough and kept missing the animals. Elizabeth was crying hard cuz I told her she couldn’t lean over the back of her chair or she would be in my shots and that got her really upset. She was already sitting on the edge seat so there was no one in front of her but she never had her camera ready in time for the animals. She kept closing the lens.

We left that ride with Elizabeth in tears. We hit Kali River rapids and each went on at least two times. Wait time was posted at 10 minutes but it only took about 5. It was raining on and off and was a really dreary looking day. It wasn’t all that warm but perfect for us New Englanders. I’d rather not have the sun beating down on us. We went to Dinoland and were deciding what ride to do first. About that time, DH’s relatives called us that they were at the park too. I accidentally still had MIL’s ticket from yesterday so DH met her at the gate. They asked where they should go first and he told them Kilimanjaro. DH met us back in Dinoland and he went on the rides with the kids, I had already done so while he was gone. There really was no wait. We hit Resterauntasaurus and they actually had both the lanyard and book. The girls were elated. DH’s relatives did Kilimanjaro and his Aunt loved it. (She is a picture taker and also loves anything Minnie Mouse. Yesterday at MGM she bought a Minnie Mouse hat and left it on her son.) Soon enough MIL called and said she didn’t want to hang with her brother anymore since they were so slow and met up with us at Pizzafari. The restaurant was pretty inside. The food was not bad but a little pricey. We all had pizza except Garren who I got Quesadilla’s. Well, he ate the pizza so the rest of us split his food. WE went on to finish everything we wanted to do well before closing. We even hit Camp Minnie & Mickey and got photo’s and autographs with everyone in under ½ and hour. We didn’t see any shows but it was still good. Elizabeth had been crying all day and stated several times that she just wanted to go back home to her mother’s. DH was very upset with her and told her she may not come next time if this behavior continues. She was being rude and lashing out at everyone and we just couldn’t take it anymore. Even MIL got upset with her bad attitude and refused to stand up for her. I was very happy with that since she usually lets Elizabeth do whatever she wants. That really made Elizabeth mad. Alyson’s shoe broke and I ended up buying her a $14 pair of flip-flops. I hate when you have no choices!

We hopped on a bus back to the hotel and the girls were mad they weren’t swimming. DH and I had planned a night out for our Anniversary (it was actually on Wednesday) and left Katie in our room with the boys. Kim took the girls to the Boardwalk for some fun. DH and I went to Epcot with his Uncle and Aunt but never actually made it into the park. I had forgotten our tickets in the room, so DH was mad at me again. We convinced his Uncle to go without us and went back to the hotel. It was supposed to be an EMH night (or so I had written down from the Disney website) but the park closed at 9 and it was already 8 so we weren’t gonna try and go back. We ran into the girls on the Boardwalk and I was upset and crying cuz DH was so mad. It’s not like I did it on purpose. I left him there and went upstairs to fins Katie in MIL’s room with the boys. I cannot remember who the girls were with downstairs either. I took the boys back to the room and we went to bed. DH came up later and went to bed too. We did not speak at all. It ended as a very bad day.

I do hope your trip improved. You surely had a lot of stress let alone relatives!
Thanks for taking the time to share.

nice reports but youir dh sounds like mine a BABY
the tickets the ice cream the mix up at the water park 'stuff happens
maybe if ANYONE was helping you with all this some of things would not have happened

Sympathise with your breakfast problem
8 am and they still weren’t letting anyone in for PS’s.
same happened to us going for CP at MK - we were told to get a bus by 7.00 as it could take 45 mins to get to MK from CSR - well bus came 7.15 and we were there by 7.25 with NOTHING to do! Luckily you can access a restroom from outside as I was  - finally got through the turnstiles at 8.15 (for our 8.10 PS) and when we got to CP it was chaos - 8.25, and everyone with bookings from 8.00 onwards still waiting to be seated!

Your DH sounds like he needs a stern talking-to. Hey, let him take over next time, or go on your own - its not like he seems to be adding to the magic. My DH was a bit cranky when I was planning our vacation the other day so I said - OK, you sort everything out then. THAT stopped the whining! :teeth:

Your trip sounds just like mine! I have 4 kids and usually invite my parents and my sister and her family and my brother to go. And then noone wants to follow my plan!! Ha! Ha! I also always say,"I'll just pick some things up when we get there" and it turns out to be longer than I had planned, or when I leave the family all you know what breaks out and my DH is panicked like he can't make decisions on what to do when I am not there! It would work a lot better if everyone would at least be a little bit involved in the planning. Well I hope your days get much better. Mine are usually better by the 2nd or 3rd day.

OMG :scared1: ~ Hope things get better for you :grouphug:

Please let us know how things went. I'm sorry that you haven't gotten the pixie dust yet and hope things improve. Not to be rude, but I think your DH needs a swift kick in the butt!
