After yesterdays realisation that our touring plans were way to ambitious, we left them behind and handed the touring over to the children with a little guidance from us. Early birds again we entered the park at 09:10am. First choice was Buzz Lightyear, kids enjoyed it so much we did it three times in a row. Ah, the joys of walk-ons.
Next we returned to a firm DLP favourite Its a Small World. We did this twice this visit, the first time on many I am sure. After the first shot I nipped off to pick-up FP for Big Thunder Mountain. When I returned we enjoyed Peter Pans Flight, this was a new ride to us all; it is all very well done. We then bumbled around to Thunder Mountain and before the children knew where they were, we were up the queue and on the train. The children enjoyed it, I think, even our timorous Kerri.
Liam wanted to do Indy Speedway (another favourite from DLP) but the queues were horrendous now. We grabbed a bite to eat at Cosmic rays. After lunch, we wandered through Mickeys Toontown Fair, it was very busy and so we jumped on the WDW Railroad and did a complete loop of the park. The children had done enough for today and wanted to head back for the hotel and hit the pool. Who are we to argue.
You might have noticed we have not seen a single parade or night show yet, Suzanne and myself decided to change that duck. After the pool we had dinner at the Food Court, we headed to Disney MGM to see Fantasmic. We arrived in the amphitheatre about one and half hours before the show and were seated in the Pocahontas section. The children were great and managed to survive the wait. What a great show it is. It made a lasting impression on the children, every time they see the pictures, they pipe up Thats Fantasmic!
Liam did ask me Where did the dragon go? He was most impressed with the dragon.
There was a slight clash with the timings for the start of Fantasmic and the Epcot Fire works Illuminations - Reflections of Earth, as the both start at 9:00pm and the Epcot fire works tended to distract my attention. When we got out of the park, the buses were well set up for dealing with the crowds and we were soon heading back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel it was lights out as it is a big day tomorrow.
Kerri is going to be seven.
Tomorrow - Kerris Birthday at Epcot or What are those spots?
