I have been lurking in this forum forever and would like to do my part. If yall are interested I could do a TR on our dining from 5/3 - 5/8. Nothing really special, but would be glad to talk about the food! :)

Sure, bring it on!

I'm a former Panhandle resident, too, btw... Marianna and Panama City.

It truly is a small world! I'm from Bristol, small town between Panama and Tallahasse, near blountstown.

Who: Me, DS, DB, DM and BestF
When: 5/3 - 5/8
Where: POR

1st Day

Arrived early afternoon and puttered around the resort. We decided to go to DTD and check it out and shop a bit. Me, DS and DBF decided to try WGPE. DBF and I split the Rosemary Chicken and the butternut squash soup. This was very good and more than enough for the 2 of us to share. DS had the BBQ chicken, he said it was good, but he liked ours better. DB and DM headed to Earl of S. They had the Black & Bleu. They were pleased with it, but thought it was smaller than they had expected. It would not have been enough to share if DM were not such a small eater, but for the price you really don't need to share. We will definitely return to WGPE.

2nd Day

Boatwright's for breakfast. DB & DM shared the sweet potato pancakes with honey pecan butter with ham. They really enjoyed this. DBF had the banana stuffed french toast, she is still talking about it  DS and I had the breakfast platter, it was good, not great. We would definitely eat here again! :)

Be back to post more in a bit!

After Boatwrights we head to Epcot (Gotta do Soarin!!). We piddle around, but it is HOT. We head back to POR and grab a quick bite at the food court. Me and DS got the bacon double cheese, DBF and DM get the philly cheesesteak, which they proclaim to be wonderful and so much that they should have shared! DB ate at the Tangeriene Cafe, still good, but not as good as the last time he said.

After swimming and resting, we head to MK. We eat at Cosmic Ray's. DM gets a hot dog with all the fixins, DB gets a kids meal salad DS and I split a chicken and rib platter and DBF gets a burger. Plenty of food and reasonable price. I really liked the chocolate cake.

I will post the next day tomorrow, gotta head to bed now!

Enjoying your reviews ~ Keep 'em coming.

3rd day

This is going to be another Epcot day. DB, who is still kind of commando, strikes out early and eats at Fountain View. Hot croissant fresh out of the oven with jam. He has raved about it. The rest of us mosey to the food court. DM and I share a ham and cheese omelet. DS has one of his own and DBF gets the mickey waffle. We love their omelets! DBF is happy with the waffle and bacon, but says "it ain't banana stuffed french toast!" :)

Like I said, we are Moseying today! We take the bus to MGM, then the friendship boat to Epcot WS. We spend a bit of time checking out the topiary's for F & G in England and Canada waiting on WS to open. We then head over to spend some time in France at the perfume garden. We piddle around, then decide it is once again HOT. We head back to France and pretty much walk into Chef's de France for lunch.

Our server is Keveen, such a sweetie! He brings our drinks quickly, I guess he can look at my beet red face and know that I desperately need hydration! DS and I both order the French Menu, French onion soup, croque monsier and creme brulee. DBF orders the quiche, DM orders lobster bisque and DB orders the goat cheese salad with walnuts. It was DELICIOUS! the soup was absolutely divine, it is amazing that a ham and cheese sandwich can be that tasty! The creme brulee didn't really rock my boat that much. Mom loved the bisque and DBF and DB both were happy with their selections. DM and DB ordered the profiteroles to have with the rest of us having the brulee. WOW, my mom is still talking about them. We have ADR's already for Chef's at supper during free dining! We can't wait! :cool1:

After lunch we went back to the resort and swam, kicked back and just relaxed in the atmosphere. Supper at the Food Court for all but DB. He went to DTD and ate at Raglan Road. He was less than impressed and did not even suggest getting an ADR for here during Free dining.
