Up early for EE at the AK. We decided to drive instead of taking the bus. They did not let us into the parking lot until 7:50. I was a little annoyed with them. Of course, we joined the trek to the Safari ride. Straight on with minimal wait. Lots of animals out and the lions were pacing. DC2 was unnerved by the bridge part and decided she did not really like this ride. We then hung around Africa a bit and did some shopping. Took first train to Planet Watch. Magical moment--DC2 got to blow the train whistle. We saw Rafiki, Stanley, and Pocahontas. Great interaction with Stanley as there was nobody around. DC2 really enjoyed Planet Watch and it was well worth the time. Back to Africa and had lunch at the Tusker House. Thanks to all the tips received here, we had a very good lunch. We then moved on to ITTBAB. BIG mistake! DC2 was completely terrorized by this show. I knew it could be scary for young children, but thought she was past this stage. Anyway, we spent the rest of the week avoiding anything remotely scary. All worked out fine, as there was more than enough to do!! We left AK after this and headed back to the cabin. After a rest and homework break, DC2 visited the petting zoo at Ft Wilderness and had a pony ride. We had a bite to eat at the cabin and headed to MK. Started in Adventureland this time and rode Aladdin and Jungle Cruise. I think Jungle Cruise was our longest wait of the week--15-20 minutes and FP machine was covered up. We then went to Splash Mountain and rode twice with no waits at all. DC2 LOVED this ride. Not scared at all--can you ever figure kids out? We then headed over to the Tomorrowland bridge to catch the Fireworks. We loved seeing Tinkerbelle fly right over us! Hung around for the Kiss Goodnight and caught the last boat back to Ft Wilderness. Another great day at WDW with the exception of ITTBAB. Live and learn!

Hey - I find TTBAB unnerving at points and my kids love it :) Glad the rest of her day went better and that she had fun on the "wet mountain" Thanks for sharing :)

I find ITTBAB unnerving!!!! i'm to the point now to where i just skip it! if people in my group want to see it, i'll wait outside for them...

glad you had another great day!!

I KNOW what you mean about ITTBAB!! Took DD when she was 2.5 yrs. old and it was a disaster! I think it may have contributed to her paralyzing fear of bugs:( (she's now 7 and seeing one wasp will keep her from going outside:eek: ) We went again when she was 5 and she still hated it. So I've written that off. I know other kids who LOVE it. Go figure...

Avoid it like the plague .
They made the park too small for Disney crowds.

Wonderful report ~ Thanx for sharing.
