Being the lazy slobs we are, we slept in...I refused to make this a rush rush vacation. Since we are going back in July, there really is no need to. We got up around 9 and ate breakfast in our room. I had brought cereal, dougnuts and muffins. I also brought along our coffee pot, so we could have that available too.
We took the bus over to MGM where we redeemed our AP vouchers. It was quick to do. We headed in and went right over to TOT. We grabbed a fasspass for that ride and then went over to RNRC. The line was kinda long so we decided to go do something else and then when we returned for TOT we would get FP for RNRC then. We went to star wars and walked right on! I couldn't believe it. Mind you we are normally July visitors, so this is a new experience for us!!! Star tours was alot of fun of course and from there we kinda walked around. I got to see Dopey which really made my day!
DH got pictures of me with him
We did the muppets 3d which was fun too, I think it may have changed some since the last time I was there, but I'm not sure. That too we got right in. We headed back to TOT with the fastpass which is just sooo cool! I love TOT! My DS-11 loved it too, this was his first time on it. Last time we were there he was too small to ride it! After that we went to eat at 50's prime time. My kids loved that place! We got scolded for the elbows on the table and our waiter was complaining about being grounded...AGAIN! my boys got a real kick out of it all.
We then headed to the backlot tour.....very little wait and the over to RNRC. It was NOT what I expected at all!! I thought it was like a star tour ride...you know....simulated!!!!
Well...when we got in and I saw the ride taking off...I had some serious doubts about getting on that thing. I did tho and let me tell you it was a blast! That has got to be the funnest ride I have ever been on! BUT...if I had seen the track, say outside, No way would I have done it. I would have been too scared. But riding it was sooo much fun! I can't wait to go back and ride it again!
oh yes, I forgot to mention we picked up more FP for TOT so we headed over to that again. We got a different sequence so that was real cool!!! After that DH's tummy said enough for him! LOL When we went to sit down after the ride I found some FP for TOT. 3 of them actually and since hubby didn't want to ride again.....me and the 2 boys headed right back on and got even another sequence! Way too much fun!
We had a nice time in MGM. Walked around and saw things we don't normally get to see. Visited with alot of characters and got their autographs. yes even at 11 and 13 they still want to do that. We got to watch some performers too. The bango and box boys(I think that is what they are called) are great fun to watch. They were right outside of RNRC entrance. Check them out if you can. They put on a fun show!! The great movie ride was closed and we didn't get to do who wants to be a millionaire, but that's ok...I need to save some things for July!!
We left the park I guess around 6 or so. We didn't stay for the show as we were kinda tired and the kids wanted to go back to the room and swim.
We swam and ate at the food court, which in my opinion is very good with great choices and then we went to DTD. Fun place! The boys loved the lego store! My DS-13 is a lego fanatic so that was heaven to us. The outside sculptures are awesome too ! We loved the guy that was sitting on the bench snoring!
My favorite was the Disney store! It is soo huge and they have everything imaginable. I was going nuts in there!
We stayed there until closing at 11 and then caught the bus back to our room.
I found the bus system to be very effeciant and quick the whole time we were there.
Got back around 11:30 or so and got ready for the next day at MK!!!
