OK, let's see what I can remember--
**Started at Studios Tuesday, walked right up to Sci Fi at about 11:20am, no PS, and immediately got a table for 2. Food was typically good, I've honestly never had anything awful here. I suspect if you don't try the more exotic stuff you'll be fine. I had a very tasty burger, mom had a prime rib sandwich which she said was fantastic. Food arrived quickly and cheerfully. Good hot crinkle cut fries, not the garden variety WDW fries.
Wish they'd turn up the sound on the movie clips (they used to be louder, I think), and add some new stuff to the mix. My favorite mid-level WDW restaurant.
Mom had a great idea, Disney should open an elaborate drive in theater with a retro flair. Show 1 bad sci fi movie and a Disney animated classic each night. For those who don't have cars they could have some restored old cars converted into theater seats. Add a good snack bar and this would be Huge business, imho, and a very enjoyable addition. Lord knows they have the land.
**Got fastpass for Millionaire then to Great Movie ride. That Sorcerer's Hat construction had the crowds for GMR the lowest I've seen. Walked on immediately, only about 15 people ahead in line. Enjoyed it quite a bit this time, had a good host (Gangster side). With some sprucing up and some possibly new and exciting scenes and film clip montage at the end this ride is worth saving. The sorcerer's hat seems to be a big undertaking for something that doesn't add anything appreciable to the park.
**Headed to Millionaire, this is a great addition to the park. 2 people made it to the hotseat, no one did too well. On the last score tally (not in contention for hotseat), I came in second! I'll surely give it another try. Great attraction. Wait was about 10-12 minutes, with fastpass, but we got there early.
**Then what...oh yeah, Min and Bill's no longer has all those exotic shakes. I wanted a dreamsicle one, but alas they are no more, just vanilla and chocolate IIRC. Between this and citrus swirls being MIA at MK, I'm getting a little miffed.
**Decided to walk thru Honey I Shrunk area for unclear reasons, checked out some of the Goofy prop area looking for World of Motion relics, not much there.
**Star Tours is so far behind the curve we opted not to ride..
**Headed out of the park, til E Night at MK. Tickets are now $12. Crowds were moderate for enight but waits were very minimal. Before ENight around 6:30, hit a walk on Pirates, then FP's Jungle Cruise (5-7 min), then walked through the treehouse (doing more of the b-level attractions that we often skip this time). To my horror Sunshine Tree Terrace is shuttered...hope they bring it back!! Aladdin was testing behind the contruction walls. It looks beautiful but I'm still not into adding off-the-shelf rides, but oh well. Then to Fantasyland, PPF and Pooh are their normal crazy selves, so we went to Snow White which was a 5 min wait. Still a well-done little ride.
**Enight...1st to Alien Encounter-walked right into Preshow-I still like AE. Then to Buzz which is walkon. A fun ride but I wish there were more interesting and detailed animatronic targets. Then to TTA, then Space Mountain, one side open, about a 10 minute wait. On to Haunted Mansion, no wait, as usual. No complaints, still a classic. Then Splash Mtn, no wait whatsoever, just us in the front of the fortunately non-smelly log. Then Big Thunder, yet again, zero wait, fun ride as always, was second to last on train. Tasty hot dogs at Casey's then exit a near-empty Main Street, an almost surreal sight at the MK.
