Let me start by saying that we got off to a great start got to the airport on time,checked our baggage,breezed thru security and got great seats.Nicky and Ale were real excited,since, this was their first time traveling in First class.Everything was perfect until we were descending towards MCO and Ale started to cry complaining about the pain in his ears.At this point I'm thinking about the famous airplane ears that I had read about on the boards and started to feel guilty for not getting them.I run over to the galley and the flight attendant gave me the styrofoam cups with the warm towel to place over his ears.I give them to Ale and tell him that this was a sure thing and that the pain was going to go away immediately( not that I believed that it would).My poor Ale cried until we landed.
We arrived at MCO at 3pm pick up our luggage and head to the car rental counters.We had changed our res from Avis to Dollar because of the 50% off discount while family #2 kept their Avis res. We got to the counters ,luckily, they were next to each other and there was no line at all at either counter. We get all the paperwork done and head to the parking lot.Family #2 got a Chevrolet Malibu for $211.00 and we get a Jeep Grand Cherokee for $169.62.Of course we looked more comfortable and got a nicer car for less money I am all smiles and my husband asked where I got the coupon .I tell him I got it from the boards of course. We are head out of the airport off to Asmu.Some of you might remember the 100 reasons thread that I started in september to convince our friends to stay on site.Well it helped convince them ,but, they wanted us to stay with them so I forget about POR and changed our res to Asmu for the first 4 days and kept the Akl for the last 2. As we are leaving the airport I am holding my hotel confirmation with the directions to get to Asmu family #2 forgets theirs,so,they give us a call on the cell phone and we tell them to look for us in a Red grand Cherokee. We are easy to spot,since,there are no other Red Cherokees on the road.
I should mention that I ordered our park hoppers and family #2 with Ticketmania.I received mine within 7 days and family #2 never got theirs.After 12 days I called Ticketmania and was told they had emailed them to tell them that they could not mail them the Hoppers ,because, there was something wrong with their address.Raf never opened his e-mails that week so he never read it. I ask the lady helping us a Ticketmania to send the PH to their hotel instead,since, there wasno time to mail them.She asked all the hotel and res info and told me that she would send them first thing in the morning the day of their arrival.
I told Omy not to worry ,since, I had read many wonderful things about them and I was a 100 % sure that the tickets were going to be there when we arrive.
As you can see I have assumed the role of trip optimist 
. I pray all the way to ASMu and have my fingers crossed at check in.I asked the CM if they have a package for them and.....They do!!
I had faxed a room request asking for Jazz ,third floor,quiet room and non-smoking.I also mentioned that we would be traveling with Family#2 and that we would like to be close to them. We checked in together and the CM told us we had connecting rooms.At this point I'm thinking I wrote close thinking of maybe adjoining rooms..connecting rooms..oh no!!..okay,now the CM tells me that they had made a mistake they gave family #2 a king bed, I tell him not to worry that we just want to be close..he picks up the phone ,calls the room assigner and tells them he needs connecting rooms and he hangs up and tells us that he was able to give us connecting rooms.This time they are not in Jazz ,but, in Rock Inn.He told me it would be just like what I asked for,but, in Rock Inn. Fine, we head out to our rooms and I have to say I loved the location.Third floor,two rooms away from the staircase and about 8 rooms away from the elevators,Courtyard view looking over at the cadillacs?? .In the entire week I did not hear a toilet flush or people walking by our room ..quiet..and more or less close to everything. So, we get to our rooms unpack,open the connecting doors at this time we have 4 kids running from one room to another....yes,just like I expected it to be.....Crazy. We were heading out to go grocery shopping when I have the wonderful idea to go to Melody Hall and walk around. We get to Melody Hall get our mugs the kids ask to go to the arcade and of course our poor DHs decide to join them. 10 minutes later the 6 kids ( Ale,Nicky,Gaby, Tigger, DH#1,DH#2) are all playing games at the arcade. We decided to leave and by the time we get everybody together it starts to rain We wait about 15 minutes and we realized that we are in the middle of a thunderstorm, so, the 6 kids LOL head back to the arcade and Omy and I decide to get the $ 10.99 worth of our mugs on that night.We each had 2 iced teas and 2 hot chocolates and it was still raining!! I ( the official trip optimmist) told Omy It would be over soon.By the time it stopped raining the kids had at least 20 pencils,4 balls,2 whopee cushions and a whole bunch of stuff they had won at the arcade. We were there at least 2 hours
. We left around 10:30pm,did our grocery shopping,got our styrofoam collers (yeap,another idea from the boards)and bought 12 bottles of water for $2.50 (vs 2.50 per bottle at the park) our grocery total was $78.00.That included a bag for Nicky and a fleece jacket for Ale.I forgot to mention Ale is hypoglicemic so we got all sorts of snacks for him to take to the park and for breakfast ( thank you all for your ideas) came back to the hotel and went right to sleep.It seemed like the longest day ...Tomorrow....MK
