Drove over to WDW from Vero Beach on Monday, May 6th, and met up with DS and his girl who took me up on my offer and drove down from NC to join me and DH on the trip. We stayed at OKW in bldg 11 for the first time - close to everything but not much of a view - only the woods. It was hot and I was excited so we all quickly unloaded our luggage and started out for a bus - which park to visit first - DS' girlfriend had never been so we decided we would let the bus make the choice for us. The MGM bus showed up and that was easy since there was lots there to do and it was already 1:00 and this park was open til 9. We all walked down to the board and checked the times for the rides and first stop was RNR and then TOT - ds' girl loved wild rides but was in for some good ones. I'm not crazy about RNR but I found it's not too bad if you sit in the back. Now TOT is another story - I need FRONT ROW there and I screamed like no tomorrow - but laughed when the doors opened and let me off. It was a really fun day - we did almost every ride and saw most of the shows - the favorite of the group was Fantasmic of course! But, I do have to recommend the SCI-FI diner also - was my first time eating there and had the best waiter ever - very entertaining and the food was good time - DH and I split a meal so we could have room for dessert. DS and his girl had a great time but were very tired when we got back to OKW but not too tired to go to the pool and relax for a few hours - me - I headed for the pillow - and my Disney Dreams of tomorrow! Looking forward to meeting another DISer at the member meeting.
