I love, love, love them! The pictures are great and I am so glad you found someone that really meshes well with the two of you!

Hi sweetie - you know I often read your PJ, but don't think I have ever posted on it. I can't imagine why. I had to post to say that I think your engagement pictures are beautiful and very creative. I think your S the Ds will be great with the magnet attached to them!!

Hey, thanks you so much! I really appreciate it. I always read yours but I get soo distracted sometimes I forget to comment! lol. Thank you once again hun!

Wow! The colors are amazing together! Obviously, I can't speak for the magnet (can't wait to see it!!), but I think the insert looks amazing on it's own without any embellishment!

Thank you! I LOVE the way the colors look! Since I had these designed I've added black and made the teal a bit darker, but that's okay! ;D

Oops! Sorry if you didn't want to share before you got them. Buuuuut...I LOVE the insert! Especially the mickey & minnie heads! And I def think you should crystal them up. I think maybe on the insert...although I won't know til we get to see the secret magnet :rolleyes1

Aw, no problem girl! I wouldn't have shared if I didn't want to! I already have these piece in my possesion, I'm just waiting on the magnets! Which was a drama-fest, I ordered one and tehn Dave flips out because he didn't 'approve' of it. When he sent me an email that said it was okay and he liked it. :confused3 Men. Aoy. So I designed a different one and I'm going to make a Hidden Mickey on it out of crystal's I think? ;D But first I gotta get them in the mail! Glad you like! The Mickey & Minnie match one of our monograms!

The Save the Dates look great so far! Can't wait to see one in my mailbox ;)

Aw, thanks girl! You'll be getting one as soon as they're assembled!! :thumbsup2

Just jumping on board!

I love your Save the Dates and your engagement pictures! So fun!!

Congrats! Can't wait to read more!

I was thinking of your e pics during the storm when I saw Asbury Park on the news. I hope you're doing ok. I love your Save the Date, too!

Aw, thanks for thinking about me! I'm alright. Just lost one of our major trees in our yard. Which stinks but I'll take that over what some other people are dealing with.

Where in NJ are you located?? Hope you're well as well!!

So, I've totally been working on a really good update for you all.. all about my floral! I'm so excited. I think my ideas are really going to capture the feel for the wedding that I'm going for. I'm just hoping I can afford what I'm dreaming of.. but that's not what this update is about. I have more exciting news.

I got a call around 12:45 today and....

MY WEDDING GOWN IS IN!!!!!!

 :yay:  :yay:  :yay:

I must say though.. I'm terribly nervous. You all know I've been having doubts and I've also been having reoccuring nightmares where I try the gown on and burst into not so happy tears! I am going tomorrow night to try her on. Keep all fingers, eyes, toes and just about every body part crossed that it works out in a positive manner!! Ah!

Thanks hun! I'm so nervous. I can't even think! DF and I started back at the gym today and all I could do was think about tomorrow! & my reoccuring nightmare of myself trying it on, seeing it in the big mirror, & then running into the fitting room bursting out in tears of sadness. Wah. lol. But hopefully that won't ever happen!

Just catching up and yay for your dress being in!!! Always an exciting moment!!

Yes it is crazy exciting. But nerve racking at the same time. I'm sitting here and it's only 9am with knots in my stomach about going later! Ack! I still have the whole day to go! I've got to talk with my boss about pay, work, get my nails done, AND THEN head over to get my dress! :scared1:

what a big day!! i'm nervous for you and wish i could be there personally for support.... but i only have a phone (that only works 50% of the time), and a computer :(

you'll love your dress, it'll be fabulous--and your boss will hopefully be understanding. if not---you better start peddling that mary kay, maybe some scentsy, pampered chef and premier jewelry

luv you--good luck today--you know where i'll be!!

Thinking about you! Hope everything went okay today!

Ladies, thanks so much for sending me all of your good vibes! My day was a smidge bit rough. I'm honestly so on edge right now. It SUCKS.

So first off, as far as my boss is concerned. I'm not getting a raise. She doesn't like the relationship that I have with the oldest because according to him I don't do anything with him. Which is ridiculous. But I'm not getting into it too much on here. But let's just say she doesn't see or hear the way he treats me on a day to day basis to the point that there are times where I come home so on edge that I'm almost in tears. Oh and on top that, he constantly tells me I'm mean. But whatever.

I'm hoping the few positions I applied for last week call me back asap.

As far as my dress went.. I'm numb about the entire situation right now. First let me say that the dress itself is absolutely gorgeous. Especially in the white color. But when I put it on I kinda didn't feel anything?? I mean nothing. Just like hey here I am in a pretty dress. Sweet. haha. I didn't have any of my accessories with me so perhaps that's it? I only have my earrings right now and I'm waiting on everything else to come in. So perhaps when I get them in I will feel better when I try it on? Idk, I just didn't feel a spark, NOTHING. Mom got teary, I heard it in her voice. I showed my dad when I got him to which he replied 'Oh wow that dress is really neat.' Only my[/] father would call a wedding gown neat. Bahah! But said that 'Jen you don't have to be wowed, your supposed to WOW everyone else.' Haha. Only my daddy. :rotfl:

But I noticed as I was trying my gown on that the train seemed noticably smaller? Like nothing like I had wanted. I ALWAYS wanted a longer train. I mean LONG. Not princess Diana long, but LONG. Well, when I tried on the sample it was the perfect length, I LOVED it. Now, it's definitely not as long as the sample. I asked the woman I bought the gown from and she said nope that's the right length and the same as the one I tried on. She said all the dresses no matter what size they are have the same size train. So for argument purposes of course I came home and compared pictures of me from the sample dress to a picture of me in my dress and um.. HELLO NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT! The sample I tried was only 1 size bigger than my gown so it should not be noticeablly different. But I'm talking at least a foot of difference! So now I'm seriously torn. I may have my mom call the dress shop tomorrow. But I have a feeling it'll be 'you took the dress home, nothing we can do'. Ugh. I'm just hoping not. Because I really think that could be one thing that's KILLING me and why I'm not so in love with it.

But I honestly feel like the worst bride ever. :sad2: How can I pick up my dress and try MY dress on for the first time and feel absolutely nothing?? it's absolutely bonkers. I'm horrid. I wish I just knew what was wrong with me.. I was talking with Kristi and I honestly think I'm just going to ignore it for a bit. And when I get back from California in October I should have ALL of my accessories in... then I try it on for the complete look. And go from there. If I still get nothing.. I may be making an appointment at Kleinfeld's....:headache:

Well I'm off to bed to prepare for a lovely dr's appt tomorrow.. I need the weekend. And I need a drink.

Sweetie - I am sorry you are having issues at work and hope that you can get another position soon (if that is what you want)!!
I am also very sorry that you felt nothing when you tried on your dress!! You know, I sometimes think that there is a lot of 'hype' about hearing angel song or harp music or whatever, when you find the dress for you!!! It makes brides disappointed when this doesn't happen!!! It certainly has never happened to me!! When I first tried my dress on, I felt that it looked beautiful on me, and I felt comfortable and didn't want to take it off!!! That's how it was for me - no fireworks or violins, just a contented, happy feeling!!! Try not to worry, I am sure that when the whole ensemble is put together, you will feel differently!!
Is the Kristi you refer to our very own Kristilyn? If so, how is she. I hope she is well and feeling better about things. Please give her my love!!

Oh girl, I'm so sorry you're feeling down about your dress and work. I'm crossing my fingers something good comes up with employment!

As far as your dress is concerned, I think your plan is perfect- don't stress about it until you can go in with your hair and make up done at least nicely, with all your accessories, etc. If you still feel not thrilled, then we'll go from there!

In the meantime, :hug:s coming your way!

i didn't see your text until this morning :( i'm sorry you didn't see fireworks--perhaps because it's raining :confused3  i bet once you get your accessories on it will be amazing.

when i picked out my dress, i put it on, liked it--tried 5 more dresses--deliberated. tried the first one on again, turned to the side, turned to the other side--looked at the lady and said, yep--i'll take this one. no tears, fireworks, or some out of body experience--i just knew.

you "knew" when you ordered it--so i have faith it'll all work out!!

about your boss -- boo.

Boo about your boss! And your dress! Have your mom call the shop and have the pictures as proof and see what they can do. I never had that "wow" moment either. When I first saw the dress in a magazine about a year before, I fell in love with it. But when I tried it on, I just felt pretty. No tears, no this is THE dress. Everyone else loved it and said it was perfect for a disney wedding. And looking at the pictures, I do love it. But I just never got that feeling when it was on. Hopefully once you get the jewlery, and hear back from the shop, it will all come together.

Yes it is our very own KristiLyn! I will send your your love! She's doing better yes. =] She's actually in Disney with Brian right now. I just talked to her earlier.

Alllright ladies.. I have a super duper MAJOR update for you all! So read on..

As you all know yesterday I went and picked up my gown, but of course I tried it on first. When I put it on I could tell that something was totally different about it and something just wasn't right. I had asked the one sales girl who worked there if all trains were the same and she said yes. No matter what size the dress was the dresses all had the exact same size train. Alright cool. But I kinda felt as if my dress had a decently smaller sized train than the sample dress that I had tried on? I was looking around for the sample but turns out that they had gotten a new sample in and had sold the ivory one that I had originally tried on. Bummer. So whatever, we paid and took the dress. The entire ride home I was pretty much silent. I didn't have anything to say. My mom didn't understand but she said she felt like somethiing was missing as well??

I get home and of course upload pictures on here. I decided to pull up the pictures of me in the sample dress that show the train and pull up one of me in my dress showing the train. OH MY GOD. The differences was disgusting! There was a huge huge huge difference in the train length to the point where it changed the entire shape of the dress! What the fudgenuts! So of course I showed my mother, my maid of honor, and one of my friends. ALL of them agreed about how you can see the differences in the trains!

I decided to shoot them an email this morning with the pictures stating my issues. I didn't hear anything at all and it was already 2pm. I was getting worried. Meanwhile I hadn't eatten since Wednesday morning due to nerves which lead to stress. I had my mom call and explain the situation. They tell me to bring the dress in and we'll figure it out.

I get to the store and the girl who ended up helping me was different than the one who had helped me the day prior. I tell her the situation and my mom starts talking to her as I step outside to take a phone call. I come back in what do you f'n know?! THE ORIGINAL SAMPLE GOWN MAGICALLY HAS APPEARED! She tells me that someone had paid for it but never picked it up so it was just sitting downstairs! As soon as she lays out the train as the gown is hanging up I can see the difference. She then takes my gown out of the garment bag and well what do you know, you can see clear as day that there is a difference in length. I felt relief knowing that I wasn't friggn hallucinating! They then pull out the train of the current sample gown (hideous champagne color btw ewie) and of course it's the same length as my gown. But it isn't the sample that I tried on. The owner comes up from downstairs (she's also the seamstress) and looks at the dresses and just says 'wow.' I forget whatelse she had said but it was almost as if she said that there was nothing that could be done. To which I responded 'Well then I hate my dress and I don't want it' cuueee a little bit of a sprinkler failure. Few tears started sprouting as panic sets in. My mom and bridesmaid try and calm me down. But the owner was like no no we have to fix this. I will get it fixed if not get you a brand new gown but it's going to take 3-4 months. Well first off, no DUH you have to fix it. You're the one that didn't order me the wedding gown that I tried on! That's fine if it takes a bit longer, as long as I get my dress fixed and it's the way the sample I tried on was. We then decided to measure it.. my actual gown had a 58" train.. when the sample gown I thought I had ordered was a 72" train! Holy moly what a difference! Rawr.

Thank god it got settled though and I didn't wait. When my mom and I were in the parking lot I was talking to her and I had a light bulb go off. A few months back when I was bridesmaid dresss shopping with a few friends I had noticed my gown in different stores for a cheaper price? I was annoyed. My dress was originally marked for over $2000 but I ended up getting $600 off for a 'snow sale'. But the prices in the other stores were a significant difference from the original price that the dress was marked in the store, so I was getting a bit upset. When we were standing in the parking lot I was kicking myself in the *** for not checking the new sample's price! I was wondering if my sample gown had a heavier price tag due to the fact that the dress itself was actually longer than the usual sample? Yanno? Like I already paid for the extra length.. I just didn't get it?? So next time I'm in the store, that's the first thing I'm doing! Ha. ;D

And my mom tells me 'you're a tart, you wouldn't cry over the dress if you didn't love it numbnuts.' She's very loving isn't she? hehe.

I'm just happy that it got resolved and somewhat quickly if I might add. I thank the LORD that the original sample was there. Otherwise all I had was picture proof (had laptop and camera in the car haha :rolleyes1)

So thank god that all got settled. So by the time my REAL gown comes in all accessories should be in and I can almost guarantee I will get that sigh of relief. hah.

Hopefully this is all that goes wrong in my planning.. I can't afford anymore stress... :headache::headache:

even though I could afford to loose a few more pounds??? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1
