Does anyone know if David's Bridal ever has sales, discounts or coupons? I just found out I will stepping in as a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding, another girl is unable to attend the wedding now. They have already picked out the dress and shoes which is almost $200 that I really don't have in my budget. Either way I will get them but it would be nice to save a little too, The wedding is in a month so I don't have too much time. Thanks for any help.

Try ebay. I was in a wedding & we all got our DB shoes on Ebay & I think the bride got her tiara on ebay. And they had our dresses too.

I have only seen them have sales on dresses after the season or discontinued styles. I don't think you are going to be able to get a current dress on sale. If it is only a month you probably should hurry because they don't have all sizes in all the dresses at the stores and if it needs ordered or altered.

ARe you sure the other girl didn't already order one and you could buy it off her? she may give you a discount to get at least most of her money back

I sell my old bridesmaid dresses on ebay. Check it out there, just search for the dress number and what store it's from. I got lucky a few months ago when I needed to find one for a friend.

Thanks for the tips. I looked at ebay with no luck so I bit the bullet and ordered it. The other girls had not bought shoes yet so instead of buying them there where they are more expensive I was able to talk them into going elsewhere. I found some cute pairs at JC Penny's that are only $35 or $40 so hopefully we can narrow those down tomorrow.

When my daughter bought a wedding dress at David's, they gave her a discount on the bridesmaids dresses. I don't recall how much.

I would try Payless for the shoes. I have found really good shoes there before and if they don't have someone's size I think they can ship them to a store for free. Maybe I am just cheap but $40 seems like a lot for shoes.

When it comes to alterations you are going to find that David's Bridal is very expensive. I'd start trying to line up somewhere else to alter your dress. We bought a dress for my daughter there & the alterations cost more than the dress cost!!

They have sales all the time. And if the bride buys her dress there the bridesmaids get an automatic $20 discount on their dresses. You can ask about a sales schedule, sometimes they know ahead of time when sales are going to happen. Unfortunately if you're only a month out, there isn't much chance of a discount/sale. And you better hurry, if they have to order the dresses, which they often do, it can take a lot longer than that for them to come in.
