Hello!
I was wondering if any of the david's bridal girls on here had their dress steamed at the David's in Orlando.
My consultant at David's in MI told me they would do it down there for free.
I was just wondering if anyone has done this and if it was a hassle or anything.
Thanks a Bunch!

My sister bought and had her dress altered from David's Bridal. However she did go through Carolyn Allens for the steaming. The guys rented their tuxes from Carolyn Allens. The bridal party and moms all had our dresses steamed by Carolyn Allens. Kammie, the bride, was very surprised at her dress after the steaming. She didn't know it could look so great!!! David's didn't get it to look as crisp when they steamed it after altering her dress--she said she just thought her dress was supposed to look crinkly.
So, this was just her experience--but I thought I'd put on her as well as bump you so maybe someone who did have DB steam their dress in FL could post their answers for you!

Thank you mindystar for the response....
I'm still torn....I just don't know about the 60 for a dress steaming.....I'll spend money on almost anything but for some reasone I can't get myself to make this decision......oh well I have time.....

I bought my dress at David's Bridals in CA and had it steamed in FL.

When I bought my dress in CA, I had specific instructions on the tag not to steam it in CA because I was taking it on a plane and taking it to David's Bridals in FL for the free steaming. Well, the folks at my store steamed it dress anyway.

When I brought it to Davids Bridal's in FL, 4 days before the wedding, they did give me a little bit of a hard time saying that my dress was already steamed. (This dress made it on a Southwest flight from CA to FL in an overhead bid and still looked steamed!!) I quickly showed them my tag stating I specifically did not want it steamed in CA. They reluctantly took my dress and I picked it up 3 days later... hmmmmm...I wondered if they actually re-steamed it????

All in all, it was not a bad experience... call the FL store to find out what their requirements are..how much lead time they need., etc....

I would pay the 60 bucks just for the convenience if not for anything else. You will have so much to do before the wedding that worrying about dropping off and picking up your dress just isnt necessary. You will then have to get it back in the car etc and it could become wrinkled again. I would just have them come and steam it right before the wedding and then you will know that your dress looks its best and so do you. You will be spending so much money anyways whats 60 more.
