Davenport-Bass Lake

Has anyone stayed in this area? My dh is being a good sport going to Disney and he loves to fish so I thought I could entice him and make this trip a little more daddy friendly with a place on a lake so he can fish early in the morning. Any info/opinions would be appreciated.

Last year we stayed in Legacy Park which is right across the street from Bass Lake. The area is quiet has a Publix's and Walmart right down the street. It also has several restaurants. It is located on Rt 27 just off of 192. We will be staying on the same stretch this year too, just down the street in Westridge. Enjoy planning your vacation....

Great situation-just a little north you have the Wal Mart at Cagan Crossing and a Chilis as well as the new eateries and shops opening all the time at Cagan Crossings on the other side of route 27.
Just south there is a shopping area with a Publix,Applebees,a great Chinese and other take out places. You can use the new West side Blvd to get to the 27 if you don't want to take 192 all the way to the end and negotiate what can be a tight bend onto 27 south

Twinsplusone - We stayed in Davenport last year and really liked the area. We are staying there again this year.


Jannyans - Could you explain the New West Side Boulevard and how to get to it? We are staying at the Solana on 27 next week and I am curious where to pick up this road.

Westside is the road that runs south from 192 to Florence Villa Grove Road at the present but will eventually run parallel all the way to cr54.
If you want to use Westside from Solana ,you will need to head north on 27 -past Sand Mine road lights -where Publix is -and then turn right at the entrance to Lake Davenport Estates -this is Florence Villa Grove Road.
Follow this road to the junction and turn left .You will meet 192 after approx 1.5 miles .Turn right and you can then travel east on 192 and use which way you prefer to get to the parks area.
