Daughters B-day At Magic Kingdom

My daughter will be turning 5 the day we go to Magic Kingdom. Is there anything special that we can do there for her that she typically would not be able to do if it was not her B-day? TIA!

Make sure to stop at City Hall and ask for a birthday pin. Your DD will be the hit of the day with the CM's and even some guests as they see the pin. Also, while there at City Hall, ask the CM if there is a phome message for your DD, regarding her birthday. They will give her a phone with a message from Goofy. I just did this with my DD, Natalie, in Dec, and she was 24. Best smile ever.

Also, if you have time, in guest services, at each park, including DtD, a birthday pin is available, all different, except MGM is the same as MK (at least it has been in the past).

If you have sitdown meals, make sure the PS is noted with a note about her BD, and let CM at checkin know also.

Enjoy the magic, nothing better than a birthday at Disney.

I have read in some other threads about kids have a sitdown breakfast with Cinderella or another character, is this possible to do for anyone?

Anyone can book character dining. Character Meal Info Some have to be booked way in advance though...

When is your trip....

The Breakfast with Cinderalla at the Castle is usually booked 10 minutes after the phone lines open, when they start making reservations 90 days prior. It IS possible be lucky and to make these reservations (PS's) by following the tips given on this board. If you are now less than 90 days before your DD's birthday, you might still be able to make reservations for Lunch or Dinner at Cinderalla's Castle, As they may not fill up as quickly, or may have more cancellations. So I would try that. It would still be really awesome and special!

Make sure they know this is your DD's birthday! Even if you don't get the Character Breakfast, maybe they will do something 'special'.

There's a Princess breakfast in Norway at Epcot... if it's princesses she wants you could try that. I know you said that's your MK day, but you could go to Epcot for breakfast then monorail to MK. Even ride in the front maybe for a birthday special!

What if you're taking dd and ds whose birthdays are 5 weeks and 3 weeks (exactly and respectively) prior to arriving at WDW? The trip is for their birthdays.........

I have a couple of ideas. Definately get the pin. There was a guy at the Hall of Presidents who spotted my husband wearing the pin about 50 yards away and yelled for the world to hear that a very important citizen was coming through to celebrate his anniversary. It turned into a bit of a production, so the pin is really fun.

Another Idea would be to get a pair of ears that say 5th birthday - You can get this at the hat "chapeau" shop on main street. You only pay for the hat no charge for the embroidery. Like $6-8

And stop by the Main Street Barber Shop they will give your daughter a trim if she needs it or a special pixi dust hairdo. If she likes that sort of thing.

Doing things to make it obvious to cast members that it's her birthday, pins, hats and such, make opportunities for them to ham it up. I'm sure it's part of the Disney training.

I am facing the same thing. When we are there in May my daughter will turn 16. I really wanted to do something special for her. "Sweet 16 and never been kissed" and all, at least that is what I tell myself so I can sleep at night! I thought about getting her a princess crown and have a sash made for her to wear! Any ideas for a 16 year old would be appreciated.

I would continue to call them. There will be a cancellation between now and then you just have to catch it at the right time.

We are 2 families travelling April 25-May 2 with 4 kids "for their birthdays" . So we would like to celebrate all their birthdays together. My DD will actually turn 7 May1st while we are there. The other family's DD turned 5 April 23, their DS March 27 and my other DD June 1.

My question is won't this detract from the CM's giving them special treatment if all 4 of them wear buttons? Should we split up the days? What makes sense? I want them all to feel special but since my DD's day is actually while we're there I have to do something for her that day!

Please be nice, JMO, but the only birthday that should be celebrated is the one that is actually during your trip!! Plan a trip next year ON your other child's birthday!! That way each trip will be special for the individual!!

I'm hoping to be in the USA for my 21st but we may well be in Vegas on my actual birthday, travelling down to Disney a few days after. Is there anything you can do if you miss your actual birthday by a few days?

And yes guys, you can still celebrate even if it's not your exact birthday. Disney is what you make of it. Go get the buttons! Characters will make a big deal out of them. CMs will tell you happy birthday all day long. Even other guests will too.

I DISAGREE!!! You can lie and tell them it's your birthday . . . should you . . . ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

"That's what Disney's for" . . . I really don't think so. . . . Sorry, but MO!! As a matter of fact, my girls would be totally embarrassed if we tried to celebrate their birthday on a day other than their REAL birthday!!!

A lot of people can't make it on their real birthday. Should they not celebrate it?? I didn't say to walk around saying "it's my birthday" if it isn't. I think you should say, "we're celebrating my birthday today... couldn't make it on the real day, unfortunately". What's wrong with celebrating a birthday? When I said "That's what Disney is for"... I was saying that Disney is for celebrations. You're welcome to your opinion of course... but some people can't make it to Disney World even once in five years, much less every year or every birthday. I'm not going to deny them their celebration.
