We are going to be at WDW on DD will be 11 on her birthday - she does not know we are going but I know she wants to eat at Lecelliers(sp) and be at Epcot because over the past few days we played if you were at WDW on your B-day what would you like to do and a bunch of extended family gave answers too so she doesn't know!!

Okay were do you get birthday pins? I know at MK its city hall but what about epcot? also can I have flowers waiting in the room or balloons and if so do I go through VWL or someplace else?

Anyone else have ideas on special things to do for this birthday trip? FYI - DD IS NOT a PRINCESS type of girl.

All ideas VERY APPRECIATED!

Thanks Sue Marino

How fun and happy early birthday to your DD!! :cake: :bday:

I have an idea
In the gift shop at Japan you can have your DD pick an oyster w/ a pearl inside it. Then, she can have the pearl set in a piece of a jewelry - my DH did this for me last year and I loved it!!! The jewelry is such a nice souvenier that I'll have forever.

Great so far and thanks for ideas - NEED MORE!!! Please help!!

Thanks
Sue

We spent our DS 5th birthday at WDW last June and it was fabulous!!! Be sure that have it included on your hotel reservation that you will be celebrating your Daughter's birthday and then remind them again at check in! I also sent a letter to the hotel's manager prior to our stay and told them that we were excited to be celebrating such an exciting occassion at WDW. On the day of my Son's birthday when we returned to our room they had placed a huge bouquet of balloons, an autographed picture/card from Buzz and Woody and an electric Test Track Race Track, plus two little stuffed plush (one Donald and one Mickey)! They went above and beyond, DS was so excited!!!!!!

Also be sure the add her birthday to the ADR you make for that day and again mention it when you check in.

You can get birthday buttons at all the parks at Guest Relations. MGM's and MK's are the same, but AK and EPCOT's are different. DS wore birthday buttons the entire week we were there since it was a week long celebration! On more than one occassion CM's told us to keep our FP's for another ride when they would see his BDay button and wish him a Happy Birthday.

We had special T shirts made for all of us. On the front there was a Mickey and it said "Celebrating Parker's 5th birthday with Mickey at WDW" and then on the back we each had our own name and date. It brought a lot of extra attention and special surprises!!!!!

Your son had a FABULOUS birthday!

Thanks for the ideas. Both of my DD's birthdays will revolve around our WDW trip this summer. I informed them that there won't be any partys this year, only the Magic Kingdom. I'm sure they'll prefer this 10 times over Chuck E. Cheese's!

BTW, did you know that Chuck E. Cheese's here in Atlanta sells beer? :confused3 That turned me off completely from them.

I see no prob with that as long as the budweiser isnt in the dispenser next to the coke and lemonade :rotfl: :rotfl2: Afterall, if a beer will help a mom or dad relax in the zoo that is CEC's, thats fine.(plz note I did say A(1) beer)I love CEC's, but it is really a wild kingdom :earboy2: :bitelip:
