Daughter 2 months pregnant

I'm sure she will research the rides at both parks and figure out which ones she can and cannot go on.
Can someone with knowledge of the rides provide a quick list of definite no no's? We are going next week in a large family group and want to make sure we have info beforehand. Thanks

In all honesty I think this is a question that she should talk with her Obstetrician about. They can make the best recommendations on rides she should avoid for sure during her pregnancy.

I will venture to say that any jerky, high intense roller coasters or any ride that could cause harm or excess pressure to her abdomen should be off the table. Also if she is having nausea during this first trimester of pregnancy any ride that might induce dizziness or nausea should be avoided.

I will name a few and others can jump in

At Universal Studios

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster

Revenge of the Mummy coaster

Escape from Gringotts coaster (not as bad as some others but there are some jerky half spins)

Simpsons (nausea do 3D simulator)

Transformers (is 3D and does some fast jerky turns)


Islands of Adventure

The Hulk

Storm Force Accelatron (teacups on steriods)

Doctor Doom's Fearfall

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man (3D some fast jerky turns)

Forbidden Journey (3D, Nausea)

I agree talk to her doctor. Having had 3 kids myself, I think only Hulk and maybe Rip Ride Rockit should be definitely off the table. Other rides may be fine if she's feeling up to them.

I agree with the talking to the doctor. Also, if you go to the website it will say which rides have warnings for pregnant women.

I went to Universal 3 month pregnant and avoided the obvious, all roller coasters, I ventured to E.T and regret it, I immediately felt it was a bad decision, the jerky motion is too much IMO. There are rides like Minions and Shrek that offers non motion seats that are specifically designed for expectant mothers and people with motion sickness, take advantage of those whenever they’re available.

Thanks for all the good advice. She did talk to her doctor and she will take advantage of non motion seats when possible. Her favorite show has always been the Horror Makeup show which we always do twice. Maybe this year we will see it 3 times. Looking forward to a great trip as usual. Thanks again!

Definitely avoid Mummy, Rip Rocket, Hulk, Gringotts, King Kong. I am sure there are others but these come to mind. Forbidden Journey may cause motion sickness.
