A four-month refurbishment for Little Red Wagon Corn Dogs!?!? Is it wrong that of all these closures, that's the one with which I'm most upset!? Lol.

The only one I'm upset about is HM, but I knew this was a possibility. What really sucks is that the 14th is our last day in the parks (1/10-1/15), I'm missing it by 1 day?:sad1: In anyone's experience do the rides ever reopen earlier than predicted?

Glad we'll get to do IASW though, I thought that would be closed too.

:lmao: me too! Means I have to eat 2 in one week (first week of holiday) I'm bummed about ROA closing on the 4th... I'm thinking the second week of our holiday is when we will be doing any of the "other" things we wanted to do while in CA

Wish I could be more hopeful, but DLR has been doing the overlay install and de-install for many years and they know how long it takes. So I doubt the HM dates will change.

"Tomorrowland Terrace – closed January 4 through May 4 for refurbishment. "

Wow!

They might just mean the restaurant itself, not the area for bands and the Jedi Academy.

That is what I am hoping for! We have 3 Star Wars fans and a February trip...:confused3

I just broke the bad news to my sister who will be traveling with me in March. Her sentiments echoed mine... "FOUR MONTHS?! But it's a CART!?!? What can they possibly refurbish for that long!?" :lmao:

I thought the same thing............. FOUR MONTHS FOR A CORN DOG CART!!!!:lmao: I can't imagine what they are doing to it for that period of time!!

I'm just glad to see that the Indiana Jones Adventure isn't on that list!! It's our favorite ride and I had read rumors that it might be up for refurb in Feb. I hope it doesn't get added!! :confused3

I can't imagine that they will close anything else with all the attractions out of order due to the river drainage. We're already missing F!, our family fave, oh well!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Oh good grief...I totally even forgot about Fantasmic!! darn...

Thanks for posting.

Glad to see we won't be missing IASW ( we are there beginning Jan.16)....my little ones are looking forward to this ride, and I was worried it might be closed.:thumbsup2

I am glad you replied about Fantasmic. That wasn't listed but in the original list but will obviously be down with ROA. I will miss that and I love Pirates Lair for mid day running around. And meeting the Pirates and talking to them as they moved around the island was a hoot.. And the Depp character was cute.

You know with so many closures coming, we are actually considering cutting our trip short! There does not seem much point in staying the whole week in order to get to the weekend and possibly another Fantasmic viewing when it won't even be there. I'm thinking 7 days will be plenty enough time to see and do all we want....Maybe this will be the time we head off down to San Diego for a few days...

Alas poor Capt Jack is no longer in Disneyland they pulled him last year. If you were lucky enough to go to Mickeys trick or treat party he was there for short periods doing meet and greets, but other than that Capt Jack is no longer in the parks, or on Pirates lair island.

As HydroGuy said, with overlays, they tend to be right on with their predicted schedules, but sometimes it will open a day early for a soft, unannounced open.

There is always a chance. :goodvibes

The corn dogs are still available at DCA in the bug's life area; and I bet they will temporarily be available somewhere, perhaps Coca Cola Corner, during the refurb.

Corn dogs caused trauma in DCA too. They even had to put up at least one sign on a construction wall, directing people to the Farmers Market where they're being sold.

I mean...I've been a vegetarian since I was 19, and even I know where the corn dogs are sold in DCA...people take them VERY seriously!

I guess so! I'll have to give one a try in December before the cart closes down! :duck:
