Dateline Octup. Mom

And she's opening herself up for comments..not sure how smart that is. Of course she's already looking for donations too....what a surprise.

Any of the curious who go to take a look at that website could conceivably be helping Ms. Suleman if she's getting some kind of payments based on website traffic.

Yeah, I went to check it out before I thought of that... ((D'oh!)) There aren't any ads on the site (at least I didn't see any on the main page), so don't know if she & her handlers would be getting a 'cut' or not.

I agree about the compensation for interviews but without proof that she actually had work done, I'm not going to assume she's shelling out $ for botox injections. As far as the nails, why does it matter. Maybe a friend gave her a GC for a manicure to use after the pregnancy :confused3 I really don't know her financial situation, or who has given her what gifts or help and I think its funny that the public just assumes certain things. As long as we continue to wonder, assume and think we know she will continue to have interviews "to set the record straight" and eventually she will be profiting bigtime from this whole mess. I haven't watched a single interview and I don't plan on it either. I hope there are alot of others that feel the same.

Are you serious? Why is it our business? The taxpayers of California have already been handed a bill for nearly $1 million dollars for the birth and hospital care of her babies and they aren't even out of the hospital yet. Add to that the fact that as high risk preemies, those children will almost certainly receive EI Services plus additional health care, provided by the lovely State of California. They will also probably be receiving food stamps and SSI, like her other disabled children. There's a high probability for it.

EXCEPT --- California is already bankrupt and in Congress asking for a bailout. Sow wait NO ... WE ALL GET THE PLEASURE OF PAYING FOR THIS!!! YAY US!!!!

I don't think the comments are up for public view though, she doesn't have a Guestbook that is accessible to the public does she?

How do you all pay for your cars, or your WDW vacations, or your dinners out, or hairdressers? Do you all pay cash up front or do many of you have a balance on your CC every month that you don't pay? I don't expect to know these things or have any right to and this woman is no different. If she is a mentally and financially incapable of raising her family she will get help.

Hmmm, we have jobs and don't have children if we have no way of supporting them.

If you have a problem with this woman getting assisitance then you need to take that up with your state officials. Regardless, it still doesn't give anyone the right to be privy to her personal finances. She doesn't need to explain where she got the money to pay for the alleged botox and plastic surgery at least not to anyone here on the DIS anyway.

How silly of me to forget that everyone commenting on this woman's life, is perfect :sad2:

And you get to decide that nobody is allowed to talk about her personal finances because.................................

Help me out here, can't think of a reason. :confused3

Seriously, nobody would know squat about this woman if it were not what she has done. Nobody forced her into this desperate situation, she walked right into it on her own free will and then handed the bill for the consequences off to the Public. You just don't do that and then expect the right to "privacy." When you start asking the taxpayers to foot the bill, you give up those rights -- whether you're a California Mom of Octuplets or a Merrill Lynch Executive, start asking the Taxpayers for money and the Taxpayers are going to start wondering how the money is being spent.

After the new mom stated which child was autistic, I kinda kept my eye on him (during the Dateline interview) and he seemed so lost as he wandered around that room as others were either coloring, doing puzzles or jumping off the furniture...yup, he seemed lost to me. :sad1: What will happen to him when he becomes ONE of FOURTEEN................? :confused3
She stated that he was completely attached to her but he was there wandering and didn't seem to be that attached to her. :sad2:

uuummm no, I didn't say you weren't allowed to talk about it, talk away. What I said was the speculation and the assumptions from the public are pretty funny, people getting so mad that she may have had botox or that her nails are done when they don't even have a clue. And whether or not you believe it, you do not have the right to know her checking account balance and what she does with the money in it, but hey you are certainlly allowed to talk about it.
I have said before that I hope she doesn't get any compensation, or paid talk show appearances and G*d forbid her own reality show but it is inevitable with the way people are all worked up about things like this woman's pouty lips and her manicured nails.
She is a nutcase, who needs serious help but she won't get it as long as the public continues to give her this attention about trivial things. So by all means continue to talk and assume and feel that you deserve to know everything about her, but please don't complain when she has her own show on TLC :)

I always wanted to have a house full of children. I still think about more children sometimes. But once I started actually having kids I realized that it was my job to do the best I could for them.

I stopped having children while I could still afford to feed and clothe the ones I have. Call me crazy.

I recent report on a local tv station stated that the babies are going to be covered under MediCal, a state medical plan. The care of the babies post birth is $10,000 a day per baby, with an anticipated stay of 12 weeks. So the cost of care, after the cost of the delivery will be about $6,720,000. Wow, all so this mentally ill lady can get her jolly's. I do hope these 8 little souls, as well as the souls of the 6 other children truly are watched over by the many upstairs. This lady is right up there with the weird of the weird (i.e Michael Jackson, etc). They are going to need it.

Octo-mom Nadya Suleman has secretly been staying in a hotel for the past week, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively, leading to the question: Are taxpayers footing the bill for the welfare mom with 14 kids?

NBC says they didn't pay Nadaya for her interview. Her mother Angela told RadarOnline.com that while she has supported Nadya up until now, she's not paying for the hotel bill. Meanwhile, after initially denying it, Angela did confirm that she is receiving public assistance.

Is taxpayer money being used to pay Octo-mom's hotel bill while she makes the interview circuit?

RadarOnline.com learned that Nadya had not seen her six children for a week, until this past weekend. They are now staying with her in the hotel.

Nadaya and her fertility specialist doctor have become a lightning rod for controversy. Angela Suleman told RadarOnline.com that she begged the doctor not to implant more embryos in her daughter, who already had six children she couldn't afford. Angela says she has been paying all the bills.

Nadya admits she's $50,000 in debt and doesn't have a job but claims she has paid her mother some rent.

Meanwhile she has a publicity team and is hoping for a book deal and a reality show.

We all watching that interview last night knew she was not at home....and the living room where the interview was conducted......soooo she must be in some upscale suite of an upscale hotel as she was putting food away in the cabinets in that upscale kitchen with the granite counters. There are one million UPSCALE hotels in SoCal.

So if Dateline is not footing that bill who do you think IS? Her publist?????

Maybe the fertility doctor is footing the bill in hopes that she will help him get out of the mess he is probably in!
