I'm a only child...and while I want a family, 16 is insane!! There is something wrong with her and this doctor should lose his license.

I'm sorry, but cannot stand this lady. Poor ****ing me. I'm an only child. My mother gave me friends, but never popped out more kids for me. I'm so deprived.

Give me a break. I am an only child. Big freaking deal. There are many only children out there. It does not mean we come from dysfunctional families. I feel bad for her parents who have obviously given her so much and she has just walked over them then proceded to badmouth them in the media.

I just think it's interesting that she says she worked to get $10,000 for IVF but now that the kids are here, she's not working. She's a liar. She did something underhanded to get all those eggs implanted.

When I saw the pics of her, my first thought was that it took her a little while to come forward because she was getting herself "camera ready".

Something skeavy is afoot. I hope the truth comes out and those kids end up with a happy, stable home.

That woman is unbelievable! There seems to be a lot of holes in her story. How does a single mom of six go to college, support a family on student loans and disability and still be able to pay for IVF? She said she doesn't get welfare. Who is paying the medical bills.

She seems very loving toward her children but there is something seriously wrong with her. She doesn't live in reality.

I'm sorry but I felt sick watching her. Sometimes I think people should have to pass a test before they can bring life into this world.

I think her daughter is more mature than she is. Her daughter is NOT happy about these 8 new babies. She said her mom will be stressed out now.

Radar Magazine has photos taken of octuplet mom Nadya Suleman back when she was pregnant with one of her other many children, and she has a normal size nose and regular non-painful looking lips. Suleman had people assuming she’d had extensive work done after she sat down with Ann Curry for her first interview on the day she was released from the hospital last Thursday. Her lips curled up in an obvious-looking trout pout and her nose was so thin it looked comical. Suleman cuddled with her babies in the neonatal unit in footage aired on The Today
Show yesterday. She had on filled nail tips that looked entirely out of place on a new mother, even one in the media spotlight.
Many outlets are noting Suleman’s facial and coloring similarities to Angelina Jolie. The comparison is not a diss to the actress as she seems to be having children she can take care of, and is more of an observation about Suleman’s assumed obsession with Jolie. It’s interesting that Suleman’s first interview was with Ann Curry, who is one of Angelina’s favorites.

If Suleman had it right she’d adopt some children and work hard so she could take care of them, not foist them off to her parents and try to have as many as she could at once. This is a woman who is primarily concerned with herself, and seems to see children as an extension of her own needs despite all of her self-righteous statements to the contrary. Many people are wondering how she could afford such obvious and expensive plastic surgery procedures when she was living on disability and never helped her mother with any of the household bills.

Suleman receives food stamps and child disability payments for three of her children, her publicist has confirmed. She told Ann Curry “I’m not receiving help from the government. I’m not trying to expect anything from anybody,” and added that money was “superfluous” and “paper.”

Although it was previously reported that Suleman did not get paid for her NBC interview, Jossip has a source that claims she received at least $300,000. I wonder if her mother, who has been caring for her other six children for years and had to declare bankruptcy after supporting Nadya, will see a dime of that money.

My dad and my MIL were both only children. Neither one grew up feeling so lonely that they needed to have 16 children. I have 3 siblings and my DH has one brother.

And I agree with all those who have siblings and sometimes wished that they were "onlies." When my sister gets especially difficult I tease my mom, "So you couldn't have stopped at just one...."

I feel sorry for all those kids, but especially for the little boy with autism and the little 2 yr old twins who don't have a clue what is happening to their family.

My 17 year old son is an only. He will even tell you that he enjoys his quiet time and the attention of his parents directed only toward him. He says he will only have one child and if he ever marries, he will ensure that the woman will have the same interest....only ONE child. He says kids are too expensive to have anymore than one.

I can't speak for those who are only children, because I had a brother. We were about a year and a half apart in age. Other than a rainy day friend and someone to fight with, exactly what does having a large family accomplish for the child? Most kids have their own friends that don't involve siblings. Large families are more for the parents' wants and needs. How many children grow up and have a really strong relationship with their siblings? It is rare to find a family where the adult siblings are at each other's houses often. Honestly, of all my friends, none of them are close with their siblings. My brother is my brother. He has his own life. We see each other when we are in town, holidays if possible, etc.

My father is probably part of an extreme situation, but he has 4 siblings and ended up being the caretaker of all them when his parents traveled on weekends, etc. He did not even want kids of his own because of it. He has already raised 4, why would he want to raise more?

I really don't buy this woman's claim that she wanted a large family because she was an only. Who is she having the large family for? So she is not alone or does she think her kids will be happier with all those siblings? I think her idea of a full house is a bit screwed.

Even if she was ignored growing up, does she really think a child who has 13 siblings will get more attention than an only child with parents who ignore?

I will say that my sister is my best friend! And even though my brother lives in another state we talk on the phone all the time (thank goodness for Verizon). I made sure I had two so they could have each other when they are older.
