Just wondering what the dates are for the Food and Wine Festival?

The Festival occurs during DVC's Choice Season at the WDW DVC resorts. So your DVC points go far; the weather is great; and the Festival provides new things to see (and taste) every day.

From Disney.com:

Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival

Dates: October 18, 2003 - November 16, 2003

Location: Epcot®

Description: Discover a world of flavors as you sample authentic wines and cuisine representing more than 25 countries and regions. With the festival's Eat to the Beat Concert Series, great food will be accompanied by your favorite artists. And best of all, entrance to the festival is included in your Epcot admission.

For my report on the Food & Wine Festival last year, see:

Thanks Werner
Those pictures are so vivid. I love the Lady &the Tramp topiary. I wonder if this year w/ the popularity of Australian wines if they will add alittle touch of "down Under".

I really want to go to this great event. Are ther any "DO NOT MISS"?

It really depends on what you enjoy. Some people focus on the culinary demos, while others prefer the wine tastings. To many guests, the International Marketplaces are the Food & Wine Festival.

In terms of specific food items at the Marketplaces, it's again a matter of personal taste.

When you first get to the Festival, pick up a program. See what's available and what you think you'd enjoy.

Private dining events require advance bookings, which can be difficult to get.

to all you folks who have been to the food and wine festival: is it your opinion that visitors to the permanent world showcase countries will have a tougher time touring or does the lure of the festival make the lines less long for the folks who just want to experience the permanent countries? thanks for any opinions.

Granted I've only been to the Food and Wine Festival once - however, I didn't notice any more difficulty in touring the permanent countries. I seem to recall the World Showcase seeming more "festive" than usual but not uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, we are going back this year because it was such a blast!!
