I am looking for a nice restaurant for my husband and I to attend on our night where the kids will do the "kids club." I would like it to be in the Boardwalk area or Epcot. Any suggestions. I made a res for Flying Fish but I am not sure if there is someplace better.

We are not on the dining plan.

Flying Fish is good.

If you are looking for a more "adult" atmosphere try the restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin (only if you are not on the dining plan).

If you want fish/seafood and an adult atmosphere, go to bluezoo at the Dolphin. Flying Fish is good but bluezoo is so much better.

If you like good and unique Mexican food I recommend the San Angel Inn, especially if you get a table by the "river." It's a must do for me and my wife.

I'd agree with the recommendations for FF, YSH and Blu Zoo. In addition, you might consider going to Bistro de Paris, which is a short walk in Epcot from the BW area.

I agree with the recommendations for Flying Fish and Bistro. Shula's is also a good possibility. We have dined at Il Mulino and Blue Zoo and will go back again, but in some ways we found the atmosphere a little too adult with a lot of young business types and loud chatter. The food there was good, but not as good as we had expected.

There will be kids. Especially if it's early.

Hmmmmm, which restaurants would be nice enough that there would be less children? I have my children 365/24/7 and this is going to be special because we are actually letting the kids do the sand castle club. We never get to go out, we never get a babysitter. I prefer a place without a ton of children if such a place exists :)

Bluezoo.

When I was at Bistro a year and a bit ago, there were NO kids. It was great! They actually don't even have a kids menu. This might be different now that's it's on the DDP, but at least it's signature...

I also wanted to second San Angel Inn - I find the ambiance very romantic. I'm not sure how many kids there would be though. It's definitely less pricey than Bistro, but not quite as good, either. Not that it's bad (I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, except for dessert) but Bistro is amazing!

Thank you. FYI- I just read a thread about how now that kids can order off a different menu, Bistro has been packed with kids and very loud and crowded.

I think I will stick with FF or switch to Blue Zoo. Does Blue Zoo get booked up? How do I make a reservation there? I saw a thread that compared them and they both sound wonderful :)

bluezoo is typically good for a walk-up, since it's not on the dining plan, but you can get a reservation by using Disney's online reservation system just like any other Disney restaurant.

I recommend spending at least a drink's worth of time in the lounge, if you choose bluezoo. It's a very adult atmosphere, and their bartenders are excellent.

We like to do San Angel Inn. Smaller restaurant, very immersive environment makes for a good intimate meal.

I think bluezoo has the most adult atmosphere but Shulas and Il Mulino will also be pretty much child-free. They all have great food and service that is superior to that offered at the WDW restaurants. Bistro used to be pretty adult but now that it's on the dining plan, I'm sure that's changed already.
