Are there any rides in all four parks that you are not able to get a return time for?
Thanks!

There may be a couple of factors:

-standby time Is less than 10 minutes
-park closin
RoTR/boarding group attractions
note that “rides“ and “attractions“ may be different

If it doesn't have a posted wait time, then you can't get a return time - so any of the meet and greets that don't have a building?

Everything else I can think of can have DAS access. For Guardians, you need to get a virtual queue boarding group first, but once your group is called, you can have DAS access through the LL.

At the end of the evening, DAS might not be an option in the app, so go to the actual LL queue and request a return time. As long as you are there before the official park closing time, they should issue you a return time. I did that twice at WDW last month, and was given return times of immediate access once, and another that was 15 minutes of waiting.

RotR isn't boarding group anymore, is it? It's the $LL one where you pay an extra fee to access it. I got DAS twice for it on our trip, and it was one of our late night/not on the DAS app returns.

Rise of the Resistance is not using Virtual Queue/Boarding Group at this time. We rode it twice in April using a DAS Return Time.

Attractions available to book DAS Return Time are listed in the My Disney Experience app.
In general, DAS Return Times are available for any attraction with a Standby wait time posted.
Even those might not be able to book a DAS Return Time if the wait is 10 minutes or less or at the end of day when the DAS Return Time would be after park closing. For both of those situations, it may not be available in the My Disney Experience app, but the CM at the attraction may be able to help.

Character greetings that are inside and have both Lightning Lane access and Standby Wait are available for DAS. Those that are outside and characters come out intermittently don’t - there is no way to estimate the wait time accurately and the character may have to leave at any time, so no guarantees they will be there when guests return.

Prince Charming Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom - not listed in DAS in the app and there isn't a place to tap in. But you can still use DAS by going to the exit gate and when the CM comes around let them know you have DAS and they will let you in on the next ride. Normally it's not a long wait and DAS not needed, but good to know if there is.

We just got back on Monday. The only thing we couldn't DAS was Guardians of the Galaxy. We were able to DAS all the other rides and shows.

Did you get a virtual boarding time, or did you buy $LL? We got a boarding time, then were given LL access when our group was called when I showed them I had DAS

We did not get lightning lane, just the virtual boarding time. The wait time on the queue was no more than 15 minutes, so we didn't use DAS. My son can handle 15 minutes and he was completely enthralled with the queue!!

So now I'm really confused - at first you said you couldn't get DAS access, then you said didn't use it. Did you try and got denied because the standby boarding queue was 15 minutes?

I took it that -
- DAS is not offered for GoG, only Virtual or ILL so only place they couldn't use outright.
- They got Virtual Boarding Pass.
- They opted to not use the DAS to access the Lightning Lane.
- They entered "standby" line because the wait was reported short & they could see everything.

You got it!!! This is exactly what I meant.

We did the short line first time so we could see everything too! Last time we got the DAS for the LL and that was a strange experience. When we did Remy all they did was send us to the LL where they let us scan, they overrode it, then we went in like always. But at GoG it was a whole process, sending us to an umbrella, of scanning all our bands, going in the system to create "a LL pass" then sending us back over to the LL. It took a couple minutes and a process we had not done before but was simple enough.

Weird - we were just there last month and I told the CM I had DAS, tapped in, the rest of my group tapped, and we were in! When were you there?

July 22. They never flinched, each one acted like it was standard procedure.

We approached entrance to LL and said we had a DAS. They said you have to go over to that umbrella. We got there, told CM we had DAS and she started the whole process. Said something to affect of changing Virtual to LL, scanned all of us. Sent us back. We scanned to enter LL and got automatic green.

Def not what happened at Ratatouille.

Weird, because we were there July14-22 and the one time we did GotG I just told the CM at the $LL that I had DAS, scanned, and was through. Maybe the one CM was doing both jobs at the time.

I’ve read about hitting the second checkpoint on a ride before you can request another DAS. Is there a list of rides where there are two checkpoints instead of one? Thanks!

There is not a specific list of attractions with a second scan point because it is not consistent.

Expect that there will always be a second scan point for attractions that are Individual Lightning Lane attractions. Soarin’ always has a second scan point in our experience - the CM assigns which ‘gate’ to go to at that point, so there has to be a CM there anyway.
For other attractions, it varies. For example, we were at WDW for a long trip last week of March thru April 11, 2022. During that time, we went on Voyage if the Little Mermaid 3 times on different days. The first and 3rd time, there was a second scan; the second time there wasn’t.
We’ve found the same of other attractions on other trips.

We just had the same experience as Sue - never knew when the second tap would be needed, and we had no problem getting a new DAS between that point and the attraction starting. And to be honest, sometimes we just waited until the ride was over - most rides are like 5 minutes or so?

We had something similar happen at Rise the first time we rode it with DAS when it was still virtual queue, except we had one more "go over there". 3 people passed us off lol.

Has not happened again, so it was weird
