I recently tore the Meniscus Ligament in my knee and although I am on the mend it is a very slow process. I certainly can't manage steps and will find standing waiting in line over the course of the day quite difficult. Would I be able to get a DAS or would I need a letter from my doctor. I do use a walking stick to assist me. I just feel being able to sit somewhere while waiting from my allotted time to come up would be a lot easier than standing in lines all day and ending up in pain.

If it's a mobility issue (needing to limit steps), they will often recommend a wheelchair or scooter (ECV) instead of a DAS.

DAS is not meant to address mobility issues. They will recommend you use a wheelchair or ECV. Most queues are accessible to these mobility devices. Those that are not accessible will give you a return time.

If I were you, I would rent a scooter from an off-site rental company.
It will make your days in the parks easier for your injury. You can use it as much as you want or park it and walk around a little in each land.

I rent a scooter each trip from select scooter in the lobby of the BWPPI. I find early in the day I will ride it to a land and park it while I walk the area. By the end of the day, I find I am using the scooter more and more. It is a real lifesaver for the trip back to the hotel when the parks close.

If given, the DAS allows you to wait elsewhere rather than in a queue. However, places to sit are few and far between. Often people sit on the low curbs or the ground. Benches are hard to find. If you need to sit, the wheelchair or the ECV is the best option.
