Does the DAS in DL and DCA always enter though FP lines on return? Last summer I remember FP lines were about 15-20 min, does anyone know if that's still the case on a busy day?
We're thinking of a trip this holiday season weekdays of the 3rd week of Dec (guessing crowds will be like a busy summer day) and just mulling things right now, though we would be utilizing the DAS system for the first time (DL vets though we were under GAC the last couple trips). If FP lines are still that long I'm thinking we could try to hit a couple of those rides earlier in the day as they might be shorter and more manageable (and we like to stay on site and always use EMH). Any thoughts appreciated though no rush as the trip is a huge maybe right now.

If you haven't yet, please check out the sticky near the top of this forum titled "DL & DCL - Disability Access Service Card..." as that has all the basic information about the new DAS system.

Unless the guest has a mobility need as well, and therefore requires a physically accessible entrance, the DAS provides access through the FP line.

There is a stickied post at the top of this forum I suggest reading. It details the program.

If you're doing to DL they do not have FP+, they still have paper FP. The basic difference with the DAS from what you had in 2011 would be that now, you are issued a return time to come back to the ride versus walking up to the ride and going right into the line as before.

Here's the link to the DL & DCA Disability Access Service Card thread. The first post has the details, the rest was just conversation at the time the program changed. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3179460

As PP mentions, DL and DCA continue to utilize the "original" FastPass paper ticket system. So no change there. FP+ is only at WDW.

Enjoy your vacation!
