DAS and/or child swap for child tall enough to ride?

I am headed to WDW soon with my 15 and 13 yr. old sons and my 5 yr. old daughter. My daughter has down syndrome and is also a "runner", gets very over stimulated at times, and generally can be a handful at times plus she has an issue with her neck that prevents fast rides such as BTMR.
My question is this - my boys will want to ride the bigger rides as will I. My daughter, while maybe tall enough, likely will not tolerate those rides. I realize that I can send the boys through to ride while I wait and then can ride either alone or with one of them and they can wait with their sister but she can be a pill to watch at times. I can usually keep her occupied or calm but to expect the boys to do that for 20+ min. at a time while I ride is a bummer.
My question finally is this: can she wait in line with us so I can manage her while they ride and then could I ride after they exit and we can just pass my daughter - meaning they only watch her for the length of the ride? Or do they either have to watch her outside the queue or I don't ride? Thanks.

You might be able to coordinate the swap at the loading location of the rides. Many cms will not give a child swap for a child tall enough to ride. Also the person the DAS is issued for (your daughter) must ride the ride in order to use the card.

Just an FYI - We tried to use the swap last week. According to an attractions manager, the guest who stays behind has to go back through the line - standby or fastpass - in order to ride. The guest cannot wait at the entrance or exit any more.

Many attractions have loading and unloading in different areas, so waiting at loading to swap will not work.

The CMs are very accomadating with issues like this,
when my son who has autism didnt want to ride, and the ride que was a reasonable length that we could have him wait, they allowed dh and brothers to go through the que while i waited at child swap,if the child has a das but doesnt want to ride, and you can send your sons through normal que then they will accomadate the child swap with no issues....
if however you do not get a das you will have to explain to the CM and they normally will help you out when you explain the situation.

How did they handle the swap when the load/unload was not in the same area? Pirates, Big Thunder (track switch), Space (?), Maelstrom (but it's closed now), Figment, ???

At big thunder the Cm had us wait at the wheelchair access which is located so that you can get onto the train that side.
we dont have an issue with pirates so i havent needed to use any kind of switch, since there is no height limit to the ride and its acessible i would assume that there is no switch out for that ride, and the same with figment.

ive only had to deal with my son not wanting to ride space mountain twice, in that case we took him through the fp que with us, when we arrived where the que splits they allowed my husband to take my son through the exit at the back so that we could stay together for the most part and then only have a very short wait without both parents.
They also take parents out that way whose children do not fit the required height so that they dont just walk out and skip into the other side que hoping not to be noticed.
