DAS and Genie and guest passes

In reading up on the DAS and the new Genie program, I think using DAS for someone on a Guest pass would be ineligible for the advance selection DAS process. Not a deal breaker but a disadvantage. Has anyone else thought of this? I know last trip I bought passes because of the last minute park reservation availabilty for MEPs, but I am hoping next year that loosens up somewhat.

I don’t have an answer to your question, but I’m wondering if we can add Genie + to the main entrance passes and comp tickets. Is it day of?

I think that is day of for MEPs and comps, just like it is for APs and many guests who don't want to prepay for every day of their stay. I don't know how to buy it for guest passes though. I guess it might work ok but haven't been back to WDW since Genie began.
