Darn you Sofia, you're going to cost me the DDP...

We were planning to go OOP this year, since by my calculations (and most of my posts on this board) it's cheaper in most cases. We get 6 nights worth of points... and would have, for those "points nights"...

(3 Disney adult, 2 Disney child)

2 @ MBYBBQ (Event) $170 value per pt
1 @ Biergarten (Buffet) $152 value per pt
1 @ Chef Mickeys (Buffet) $144 value per pt
1 @ Tonys Town Sq (Menu) $98 value per pt
1 @ Be Our Guest (Menu) $95 value per pt

(plus OOP ADRs at Cali Grill, Sci-Fi, Y&Y)

So there are 4 pts spent on Event / Buffet (good) and 2 pts spent on Menu / bad. Paying OOP we'll spend about $30 less in total than on the DDP.

But now, Sofia the First just had to go and start showing up at Hollywood & Vine... and we have to see her! So, we're considering changing our Sci-Fi lunch to a H&V... which adds in a Buffet (BOG would drop off the point chart as the cheapest Menu restaurant)... which would put us at a whopping 5 of our 6 pts on Character Buffet / Events, which are all fixed-price choices.

With that addition, the DDP saves (albeit barely) and does not lead to over indulging, extra tip costs, etc.

So, DDP I'm thinking it will be. Even tho we REALLY wanted to do Sci-Fi this trip. I've heard H&V is mediocre / average... but to see Sofia for our DS5 in a non-line, relaxed atmosphere makes the difference there.
