Anyone been to Darien Lake? My 13-year-old son loves rollercoasters. We've been to Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland numerous times and I'm thinking of heading somewhere new this year. I'm wondering if Darien Lake has enough rides to keep us busy for 2 days (we plan to go to the waterpark too) and if a big rollercoaster fan will have fun there or will he be disappointed?

My family has been there often. We like it a lot. Less waiting in line. The ride of steel is a great coaster. If you're doing a water park, there is plenty to keep you busy.

I haven't been to Darien lake in many years but the kids did enjoy it when they were younger and I do remember it was never crowded. I'm not sure if you know but you can purchase tickets at the Peace Bridge Duty Free for a pretty good price on your way to the US. A one day Adult ticket is $29.99 and includes free parking.

That's a great price for the tickets and good to know for a next visit! This time we are staying at the Lodge on site and tickets are included in the package price.

Wow what a blast from the past - Darien Lake! Used to go there a lot as kids and it was a LOT of fun!! We also used to go to Fantasy Island (motto: "Fun? Wow!") just outside of Buffalo. I can't vouch for how they've held up over the years since I haven't been in a LONG time, but I can tell you I have a lot of great memories of them. :thumbsup2
