Dapper Day Sept 21 - Anyone going?

I will be arriving on Sept 21 for a solo trip and was thinking about attending the Boardwalk part of Dapper Day. I don't usually feel self-conscious traveling by myself, but I do feel kind of strange joining a "group" without knowing anyone.

Is there anyone else thinking about attending the event? I would love to join the large group with someone else.

Wife pointed this out and asked if she should rearrange our schedule.

We have another park scheduled for that day but we love putting on the Victorian Formalwear.

The more I looked at the event, the more it seemed like it wasn't terribly dapper at all and really much more of a hipster parade.

I'm not judging, right, it takes all kinds. But don't show up in a tank-top and ironic facial hair then tell me you're playing at dressing dandy. Dapper denotes a level of formality.

Then I realized that I'm just too old for this group and should enjoy from a distance that they have so much fun doing what they do.

I'm planning to be there for Dapper Day unless it's super hot(because I plan on wearing a three piece suit). Not sure if I'll be going to Boardwalk afterwards though, most likely going to MK after DHS closes.

Glad we're not the only ones considering this! MK closes at midnight, so that sounds fun

I thought MK closes at 11pm this Saturday? Either way, should be plenty of time after DHS closes at 8pm. The afterparty is supposed to be at Boardwalk after DHS, but I think many people are going to go to MK instead, potentially Boardwalk after. We have a group of 17 going so far, but I'm sure some of it will get split up after DHS closes.

My bad, 11pm is right! If we do end up at Boardwalk, we'll probably go to Jellyrolls if anything.
