won't roll up!
I just bought myself a new car and gave my 2001 Camaro to DD and now the window won't roll up. I'm 'bout fed up with that car...it's been problem after problem with it. :headache: I thought it was good to go for at least a year...new tires...oil change...but noooooooooo! And of course this happens on Saturday evening when the window has to stay down for 2 days until we can take it in Monday.
Any suggestions in case it rains or someone wants to steal it? I live in an apartment with no garage and lots of neighbors.

:grouphug:
sorry ....I had a car that did that and my dh was able to fix it somehow till we got it to the dealer...something inside the door panel...it was winter tho so it was something that broke (some seal or something) that ultimately had to be replaced....

Hope you work it out, almost nothing more frustrating than getting a car and having probs!

Good Luck!

is the problem with all windows or just one

It's one window, drivers side...on the Camaro, not my new car. The motor works but it seems like it's off track or something is broken down in there. I tried pulling it up but it gets stuck.
I think I may take it to work and park it there, just to ease my mind of someone stealing it. (I work on an Air Force base.)

That happened to my mother's 2003 Buick, both front windows. I think somebody was able to go in and pull the window up, then tape it shut until she could get it to a repair shop. I'm vague on the details, sorry. When she moved in with us, she gave me the car and we had the motors replaced on both windows. Now I've given it to my daughter for HER daughter (mulit-generational car here), and hoping the back windows don't do the same thing.

Try banging on the inside door panel if see that will work. My car window was stuck in the down position and friend of ours did it to our car. It got the window back up for us.

You can order the parts from amazon.com and install it yourself a lot cheaper than paying a dealer.

i agree with banging on the inside of the door panel. that worked for me a couple of times with my passenger window, which gets stuck sometimes.

my driver's side window recently got stuck halfway down. it would go all the way down, but wouldn't come all the way back up-it always stuck halfway up. my DFIL came over and pulled on the window while he pushed the switch up, then down, up, then down, and up several times fairly quickly. the window then went all the way up.

Never had an issue with that on my Chevy.......oh.....sorry.....it has old fashioned roll up manual windows.
