I'm so sorry about your loss. It's just insane that someone who already knows and loves her, and has proven again and again what a loving family they are, would be prevented from even interviewing. What a system.

Thanks everyone for all your comments! Its really been a rough morning but I know we will be okay. Just kinda sucks that I dont even have a chance.
Dane and I have talked about alot of seineros this morning and he is very furious with our CPS office right now. He is thinking about quitting foster care and just doing a daycare service...however he is just really upset right now so this may not be final. were just not sure what we wanna do. I know we will be going to talk to a genetics doctor about having another baby soon. I will keep you posted.

Farrah so sorry to hear this...

As a former General Manager for restaurants, I always told my managers to document, document, document.

First, if you can get a record the number of foster kids placed with you and your rating (as foster parents). This would give you credibility as foster parents.

Second, document your slant on the situation with your foster child. Apologize for any heated comments you made as it is a very emotional issue for you as you have bonded with your foster child.

Third, send documents to anyone who you think needs to hear about this situation.

Fourth, follow up with agencies that would oversee this woman who made this poor decision so it doesn't happen to other families.

I'm sorry about not even being aloud an interview with CPS. I deal with our local agency here on a daily basis, and sometimes it amazes me the type of people they allow to work there but none the less be able to judge if other people are fit parents.
