Hi carrie!!! The party was good, I had sales of 600.00 when she left and I have about 5 outside orders to get.
Im still waiting to get a call from the CPS person to contact me for the interview for the little girl. She is still in my sisters care as of now
Oh the PC lady make BROWNIES! they had rollos and drizzled chocolate all over them-- there were delish! I have not ordered anything yet, I am hoping to earn the pots and pans!!
Lia sophia is doing well, I am pretty steady, doing about 4 shows a month and it brings in a little extra cash!

Awww man!!! I hope you guys had some for me!

We did- wish you were here too! That would have been FUN!

Pampered chef went well. I am still hoping to collect about 300.00 in outside orders.

Pampered Chef day!

First we had dane cook fried green tomatos and zucchinie (sp) for lunch

Then we went shoe searching

and had to run to walmart! Notice how Alicia is ALWAYS on teh phone! LOL

Home again...talking to diney dining - and workin on some disney planning on teh notebook.

Late last night we had a wind storm roll thru here and lost power about Midnight, so we had to use candles-- what a way top end teh last night of alicias stay- with candlelight! LOL

THEn we heard a HUGE BOOM and my back door flew open! the tree out back had got struck by ligtning and the wind picked up our trampoline and threw it againsty our fence and knocked out a whole section of the fence! We had umbrellas flying thru the air and tables knocked obver- It was crazy!! I felt a little like dorthey in teh wizard of OZ!

we finally went to bed about 2AM....Then we were back up at 8AM and had to get my foster kids ready for a visit. Isabelle had ceral for breakfast and I grabbed a shower, then it was GOODBYE TIME
This was the last pic we took before I lead Alicia to teh main highway to head home

That was the run down of Alicias stay with us!
Can I just say DIS peeps are the best! I really enjoyed having her and Isabelle here and Im so glad She has come into my life- all thanks to the dis and the love of the mouse!



Oh and FYI Dane has been working in the yard all day and everything is almost repaired so NO WORRIES!

First of all, I'm glad you're all okay from the storm! It rolled in here around 1AM and I was a little scared! Finally got to sleep around 2AM. That's great that Dane was able to get stuff fixed so fast.

Those pics are so good! I'm glad you had such a fun time with Alicia and Isabelle. Thank you for sharing the visit with us! Sounds like your party went well too.

I wanted to update you all on a sad note:

I just got off the phone with the social worker and she said that we were NOT chosen for a interview to adopt the little girl we love so much, Her directer told her it would not be a good idea.....so what did I do,,,,CALL THE Directer!!!!

I kindly asked her what her decsion was based on, she said to me in a very crappy tone "I think you know why", I said mam, I have no idea why or else I wouldnt be calling you and I am shocked right now. she proceeded to tell me that I have a family member that works up at the office and it would be conflict of interest if they let us interview.
Keep in mind that the case worker has a "friend" that wants this little girl aswell- and guess what....she got a interview. how screwed up is this! I Loved this little girl...she has been a part of my life for months, she has stayed with us, bonded with us, and yet we dont even get a chance to interview-- whats wrong with our system!?!?!
Needless to say I went off on the directer and told her my attorney will be contacting her. actually we will probably not even mess with it after this. NOt to mention that because I went off on the directer, we will probably not be chosen to get foster kids placed with us anymore...we went from one of the best foster homes on the list to the last person they will call LOL.
I am truely writting this with tears running down my face, and although I joke, its sill just is killing me that I will never see this child again once she is adopted out.

Sorry for the vent and the novel, but wanted to update you all.....Thanks for all the prayers you have said for us and I know That god must have something else planned for us - I just wish the little girl the best.

Oh Farrah I'm so sorry It's so terrible how the system turns away great families that want to adopt because of beaurocratic nonsense. So what that you have a family member that works there! They should be so happy that a loving family wants to welcome a child into their home.

You and your family are in my prayers.
