Yea, it didn't really suit the nature of the dance that well. But Val seems to love feeding that to his stars, and the producers giving her those songs too.

I liked Simone's dance. Her smile looked genuine and not all gymnast fake. She seemed to really have a lot of fun.

I think all the dances have been good. Technically they are doing very well. I think the choreography has just been dull to me tonight and last week. I think I miss Derek. Never thought I'd say that!

I was thinking the same thing! She made a Vienese Waltz look as sexy as a tango. I liked it but I wish it was sweeter.

That's exactly what I mean. Tango & all the latin dances are supposed to be sexy. But, was she/Val selling sex during the waltzes, foxtrot, jive & contemporary dances too? Can she play any other emotional nuances? Stuff out of her comfort zone?

David was given two sexy dances, Magic Mike & another one, where they spray tanned a faux 6-pack on his chest. They were CLEARLY out of his comfort zone, but he embraced them and threw himself into them with all he has.

Poor Bonner, well EVERY dance was out of his comfort zone, particularly his last dance, and he tried as best he could.

Rashad is also giving his all with every direction thrown at him. Same with Simone.

But, I think Normani mostly is given and is choreographed to just be sexy all the time. Some of that is on Val and the producers for the choice of songs she is always given. And of course, she always shines, as this is in her wheelhouse.

I agree 100%. They are both a little full of themselves, but when you see a season without them you realize how much they bring to the show. I haven't seen a dance this season that has surprised me in terms of choreography. Derek and Mark were constantly surprising us with fresh ideas.

I honestly think Rossy's first dance on par with Rashad's. The blinding light completely hid his lack of hip movement. It really just looked like Emma was dancing around him.

I think Rossi will make it to the finals.

I think Rashad is going home tonight. He doesn't have the fan base that Rossi has. Being a free agent & not being picked up, and still not having a home team will probably hurt him. There are not enough NYers, Oakland Raiders and football fans voting for him. Meanwhile Rossi has all of Illinois & MLB tuning in to vote for him. Simone has all the Olympic fans. They both have shown tremendous growth. And Normani gets the sexy votes as well as being an overall good dancer.
