Ahhh. I didn't think about that. Still I do think Rashad did a great job and I'm very happy for him.

Also thrilled for Rossy! Who thought he would make it so far!? #neverquit #thatscub

I squealed when Normani got third and watched the last 5 mins of show from a Dunkin Donuts parking lot. I'm ok with Rashad but I'm still bummed. The judges underscored Rossy enough to overcome the fan vote which is disappointing.

Gotta get on the road. I'll read when I get home in 3 hours.

I think David would have been thrilled to win. But the way the judges & the show always made him feel so bad that he stayed over first Simone, and then Normani, I think he would have also felt kind of guilty. It would have been a bittersweet win.

I wondered what all you Cubs fans at the game were doing. If the game ended a little later, I could see them turning the Jumbotron into a huge viewing of the DWTS ending.

yep, just like Laurie last season. I still honestly think had the votes to win ..but honestly, the entire show/voting would have had to be revamped if he had. DWTS gonna sure see a drop in viewership now tho, without him/Cub fans tuning in and voting lol. I'm OK with Rashad winning, obv DWTS wants the winner to be on tour and no way could Rossy commit to that. Normani just didn't grow , peaked at the beginning and just assumed. Rossy represented the Cubs, Lindsay and himself with total class and integrity,and ALMOST won ~ can't ask for more than that

I missed the finale! Had a dumb dinner to go to. I'm happy for Emma to finally get a win! Rashad has been great throughout the season, happy they won.

So happy Rashad and Emma won! He really came on strong in the end and was dedicated to the process. I really enjoy watching his dancing and his total commitment.

I actually liked all three finalist for different reasons. I was shocked that Normani came in third, but this show is a popularity contest too, so it's not just judged on dancing ability or how a contestant improves week to week.

I was really disappointed in the judges reactions again tonight when Normani came in third. They really need to learn to temper their reactions because it looks like they are loading the points on their favorites, not necessarily the dancer with the correct moves. Rashad had a bunch of foot errors at the beginning of his dance to night, but they overlooked those to help him win. David is so gracious each week when he keeps on winning. And maybe the sexist dancer doesn't really do the best moves.

Actually, Len saw the same footwork errors I did. Carrie Ann is just too enamored with the NFL dancers. Her mind goes to mush. Just like Bruno.

I was really disappointed in the judges reactions again tonight when Normani came in third. I was listening to the show while driving to the Dunkin Donuts for some caffeine and sugar to get me home. (NO! I was NOT watching!) I didn't get to see the judge's reactions. I'll zoom though the show later today but I did hear the *gasp* in the judge's voices.

He was back to being flat footed again. I watched the dances on my phone at Wrigley with the sound off and you can really concentrate how the dancers move without the music. Rossy (in Cubs parlance) "did not suck" an I thought that he deserved 10's along with the other two ... I really didn't see any mistakes. I really wish I could see the math to see if those 9's were the nails in the coffin or if Rashad was far enough ahead that it didn't matter if they undermined Rossy.

Couldn't believe it when they announced Normani first......
Rashaad's last dance was just NOT up to par. No comparison, at all.
I have to agree 110% with the above poster about that.

She was the best dancer there, by far.
Just not understanding all the 'HATE' from the voters and some of the DISers here????

Unlike Simone, who signed her own exit papers with her bad, self centered, attitude.
Her re-do of 'favorite dance' was the absolute WORST series of her gymnastic moves of the entire season.

She gets all 10's from me, for that out-take of her shakin' her groove!!!

I didn't manage to see the show, but I did get to see some of the dances. I'm happy with the winner - but I would have been satisfied with any of the three.

All the finalists were on GMA this morning. It was a really LONG segment, like a full half hour. I didn't know it was going to be so long or I would have posted that they were on. I'll have to mosey over there one of these seasons to see the winners live. I live only several blocks away.

West coasters keep your eyes open for it.

ITA . Even CarrieAnne trying to CYA with her "I wish I could vote like America" speech was insult to injury. David's face during the very subdued judge reaction/scoring (Lindsay's too) was so sad, and to constantly watch them gush over Normani and Rashad to the extreme opposite was super unprofessional. To be fair tho, they were also super rude to Kris Kattan on his 1 whole night of dancing There is a whole "Not our Winner" protest group for Normani..Oh brother.

Turned it on RIGHT as Rashad describing himself and included a phrase "Don't Care About Nobody Else, That's Me"..ummmm I know what he meant but very poor choice of wording, especially when you are sitting there with Rossy, KWIM? Where the Mirror Ball Trophy is sitting? It's in front of the right team, not next to it, lol. The clip of Val and Normani's Grandma dancing was awesome, AND she and Bonner are gong on a date

I agree. I thought David looked sad too. And I think the judges reacted very unprofessionally in showing so much negative reaction.

That phrase was mentioned on GMA too. I was doing other stuff, so I didn't fully catch what it's about. But I *think* it might be a song lyric. So don't get too mad at Rashad yet, until we find what that phrase meant.
