Until Helio and Julianne's freestyle I was thinking that was a real bomb of a show. They really saved the show tonight. I though Marie was horrible and kept thinking that the "doll" would suddenly start to dance. Too bad the "doll" never danced a step. Her reactions to the judges just showed how little respect she actually had for the entire process. She is actually counting on her fans to carry her through to the end. If by some chance she gets into the final two tomorrow night, the judges will have to score her extremely low (like 3-4s) in order to get a more true final score for the night.

I wish they would count the judges' scores higher than the fans. The judges actually know what to look for in a dance.

OK, I was actually uncomfortable watching Marie's freestyle. Just horrible. I thought for sure the "doll" would snap out of it and nail the dance but then it just kept going on. Bride of Chucky is right.

I've been wanting Mel B to win and Helio was my second choice. I thought he was scored to low on the Jive tonight though. Now if either win I'd be happy. (just not Marie!!)

Jennie should have been in this show.

They said the audience vote from tonight will be part of the final vote for the last two dancers.

Ok here's what I think:

Mel and Maks: Their Cha-cha was great, I'm not sure why they were so harsh on them. Their freestyle had the potential to be great, but never got there. I was really disappointed. I feel like this is where Maks is the weakest, the freestyle choreography (anyone remember last season? his freestlye with Laila, it also left a little to be desired). However, their lifts were amazing, and their bits of dancing together were great, very precise and in sync.

Marie and Jonathan: Not sure where to start. Their first dance was ok, but there were almost no dance steps, it was all about the tricks. Their second dance....I don't even know what to say. It was odd. I'm not sure why you would want to showcase someone by making them move like a wooden doll the whole time. Very weird, but at least the judges gave it an appropriate score.

Helio and Julianne: If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times their dances are ALL JULIANNE. She's a great choreographer, because she makes sure that NO ONE is watching him. If you go back and watch those dances and only look at him, you will see that he does almost NO DANCING. Yes, he is very charismatic and cute and I like to watch him just as much as the next person, but he isn't dancing!!!!!!! He's just not!!!!! Their lifts were great, he did his part well, and the cartwheel thing was good, but the rest was all her.

To sum up: if this competition is supposed to be won based on consistency and talent, then it's a no-brainer and Mel B should be the clear cut choice. However, this is unfortunately not how America always votes .

I was embarrassed for Marie tonight. I've been able to enjoy her dancing until tonight--i was cringing. I too kept expecting her to drop the doll act and DANCE! I can't beleive she tried to pull that in the FINALS and Jonathan let her! Then, the shameless plugging for her dolls! Then, her comments to the judges were bordering on disrespect. Very dissapointed in her.

What's up with the judges not calling her on that weak dancing tonight? I can't beleive they didn't say anything negative to her about how ludicrous the doll dance was. Ugh!

I never vote on these things, but tonight I voted X5 for Julio.(Sp?) He blew them all away tonight.... AND he has come the farthest not being a performer to begin with. Although, I kinda hated for Julianne to win again again because Appollo could dance circles around Julio!!

I have to disagree. I read the article, and I personally think he speaks the truth. I am sorry, but Sabrina and Jennie were definitely better than Marie. Jane and Cameron were able the same. I do not feel she deserves to win based on her dancing abilities. Hoping for a Mel B win, but would be very happy if Helio won.

Well, as my dh pointed out, Maks *is* a professional dancer and, as such, he definitely is more qualified to determine who is or isn't a better dancer. I don't think he was being a jerk when he said there were others who are better at dancing than Marie.

OMG!! That was SCARY!!!!!!! I can't believe they even thought that would be a good free-style! YIKES!

I figured the judges wouldn't care for the 'hip hop' flavor of Mel & Maks' dance. Maybe they should better define what 'free style' means for the competition. If it is truly anything goes, then they were fine. If they mean the ballroom rules are out, then it wasn't a good decision.

While I love Marie...I have to admit, tonight was just awful.

I think her 'doll' dance would have been fine if it was for say 10 seconds, and then if he would have 'wound' her up - and then they would have danced normal. But no...it was just sad. They did some difficult stuff, but she should have stuck to something she aced before...and this wasn't it.

I love love love Julianne...but I have to agree, Helio isn't 'the best' dancer. I also have trouble voting for Mel B, because I feel like she already has the dance type of experience, so this wasn't as big of a stretch for her as it was for Helio.

Anyone...even Wayne Newton would have come off looking good with Julianne as a partner. I wonder what will happen next year - if they will put some old person with her -- like they did with Cheryl this year.

Count me in as another who was embarrassed for Marie! I'm not sure what she was thinking!! I enjoy Marie, just not as a dancer!!

As far as Max's comment, of course the other dancers are better than Marie! It's obvious! But I wish that he would have had the class not to make a public statement about it! Why say something that could only hurt someones feelings?? I know that she is a performer and probably has thick skin on negative press/comments. My point is that it was tacky of Max to make that comment, IMHO! What is the old saying, "If you can't say something nice"?? You don't have to say everything you're thinking, Max!

Yes I kept waiting for him to crank her up and to start really dancing. It was painful to watch. (but there are a lot of Osmonds out there that will be voting.)
I missed the beginning why was Mel so upset? She seemed mad at the end? Did something happen? She was not her usually bubbly self.

Did Marie's resurrect that dance from the Donny and Marie Show? I could have seen that on a campy 70's variety show, but not as a dance for a competition. I really don't care if Mel or Helio wins, but please not Marie!

You took the words right out of my mouth! I agree with everything you've said 100%.

Mel & Maks - I think Mel is a victim of uninspiring choreography. Maks could have made that cha cha a lot more challenging and she could have handled it. Still technically the best of the three.

Marie & Jonathan - The freestyle dance what can I say but Your on the money as far as the samba goes. I may be wrong as I am not totally trained in samba but I only saw one actual samba move. Her dances are choreographed to hide her weaknesses.

Helio & Julianne - You are so right. I am drawn to her when they dance because she is such a fabulous dancer. But when I focus on Helio, while he is entertaining and his smile is infectious, he does lack technique in many areas.

I was disappointed by ALL the dances. Both of Marie's just stank. No real dancing! Mel's were just OK--I kept waiting for some really kick-*** choreography and it just never happened. Same with Helio (my favorite!). All during the jive I kept yelling at the screen for more of those quick, precise kicks and saw very few. His freestyle was definitely the best of the night, but I don't think it deserved any 10's either. I feel it would have been more accurate if every single score last night was one point lower.

He's only telling the truth. So far, he's the only one saying it so bluntly. Everyone on the show, the judges, the professional dancers, even most of the audience knows that she can't even come close to the dancing of the other two.
The judges have made it plain that she really shouldn't even be in the finals. They are just more diplomatic about it.

I liked Helio and Julianne. These judges take this thing a little too seriously sometimes, Len, I'm talking to you.

Well, he is a judge. I'm not in the least surprised at how hard the judges were last night. It's the Finals. Only the best should be there and they should have learned to be much better dancers than they started out.

I'm also sure that the judges go a lot easier in this competition than if they were judging a professional competition.

I agree with you. Marie was just being so disrespectful of the judges critiques. I just kept yelling at the tv, so what if you're a doll designer! What the heck does that have to do with dancing?
Although, I didn't think that Helio & Julianne's Freestyle was a showstopper as we've seen in the past.
Other than the lifts, his dancing wasn't great. Look past the smile and look at the body, arms and footwork.

No. But, the judges last vote I believe is counted in with last night's votes for a total overall score for 3 dances.

I was just totally disappointed in last night's show. While I didn't expect great things from Marie, I totally didn't expect to see anything like that Freestyle routine. It can't even be called a dance. All it was was Jonathan throwing her around.

I did expect a lot more from both Mel and Helio.
But, none of them were really inspiring.
I'm still voting for Mel to win. She is still the better dancer of the 3.

Well for the record I didn't vote for Marie! I didn't vote for anyone. I was very disappointed in Marie's last dance and couldn't in good conscience vote for her so I just didn't vote.

I watched the entire season and never voted once until last night.
I gave all 5 of my Internet votes to Julianne and Helio.

Marie was just awfull.

I feel like Mel B is a great dancer but does that for a living. Helio has come the farthest since the beginning and even though he may not be the best, he sure has come a long way.

Loved Julianne and Helio' freestyle.

Wow, I was so disappointed last night. I wasn't expecting much from Marie, but
no way did I think her freestyle would be THAT bad!!!

Helio and Julianne were good, very entertaining, but nowhere near the freestyle dances we saw in past finales.

The MOST disappointing was Mel B. though. I was expecting ALOT more.
What was that? She hardly even danced. I can think of 2 or 3 other dances of theirs that were better than that. I was really rooting for Mel until that freestyle.

In the end, I'm torn. Definitely NOT Marie, but I really think Helio has come the farthest, but Mel is really the best dancer, alot more experience than Helio though...so I'm split between the two, with maybe a slight bias to Helio.

As for Mak's comments about Marie, I don't think it was fair about her son, I don't think that was ever supposed to come out, Larrry King spilled the beans and if people felt sorry for her and voted for her, that isn't her fault.
Same with her dad, I think the show helped milk that with Jane Seymour and Marie both. As for Donny though, he HAS been incredibly annoying on ET. I am sick to death of him and his old family movies and pictures and stupid stories.
