Hey guys,

Well, my friend & I got to see DWTS live today at the CBS Studios. Even though we had priority seating, almost all of the seats on the ground floor were spoken for by friends & relatives of the stars, production crew, and anyone who has a say-so, lol. So, we sat up in the balcony.

It was a lot of fun watching the show, and now I get to watch it on TV, since it's broadcast live for the East Coast.

All of the performances were great. You get a different feel watching them live versus the cameras showing the close-ups. Sabrina (that's the Cheetah girl, right?) really put on a powerful performance, as did Cameron and Jenny.

They all did really well. Good show.

I think what bugged me about Sabrina was the way her mouth was opened - like she was focusing so hard on her dance moves that she didn't realized she had kind of a clinched opened mouth thing going the whole time. Her facial expression was not there. And Jane was not lifted. Even if her heel barely came off of the floor, this is DWTS, not America's next greatest professional ballroom championship and big deal! It isn't like he lifted her up off of the ground. I thought her dance was much more interesting and elegant than Scarey Spice.

I always end up watching this the next day on DVR. But here's my thoughts.
I loved Sabrina's dance. I thought she broke out of her cute mold and tried something different.

Mark Cuban did better, but I still think he stinks.

For Jane, if they can be off for a beat, then they were within the rules. She's always lovely and graceful. I hope to look like that now, let alone at 56.

Floyd stinks. He looks like he's counting in his head while he's dancing.

Mel B. She did a nice job. I just don't think the waltz is as nice to watch as the Paso Doble. I want her to stay cause I love looking at Maks.

Cameron - Um, I can't remember anything other than "WOOOOO HOOOO! Superman is right!" So hot. Love that Paso Doble.

Marie - such a great entertainer but again the dance is boring.

Jenny - I am really rooting for her. Maybe cause she's a fellow 30-something mom. I loved the dance and I think Derek is as good a choreographer as his sister.

Helio - I so wish he did the Paso. He would have been so good at that. I liked his dance, he was so suave.

I'm hoping either Floyd or Mark go home this week.

A few comments:

I agree with most of what everyone is saying about Sabrina. She is probably the most entertaining of the dancers on the show this season, but technically I don't think she's the best. One of the best, but not the best. I think the judges need to get over their love affair with her. I think what bothers me but I can't put my finger on it, is that no matter what style she does, she stomps her feet and is too aggressive. I actually take ballroom and am going to get my instructor's opinion tonight. I'll let you all know what he says.

I thought Jennie Garth is doing fabulous! She's come a long way and I thought the 8 from Carrie Ann was too low.

Floyd needs to go! It's painful to watch him,

I too love SYTYCD! I love DWTS, but I like SYTYCD better. Probably because I love to see all styles not just ballroom! (But I could pass on the krumping!)

And count me in on being excited for Wade Robson! His choreography on SYTYCD is always among my favorite every season!

The most elegant was Jane Seymour, though. I was in tears watching her (but, then, I'm a sap (don't tag me with that!), and I also loved watching Jenny - she was fantastic!

I do think Marie did an excellent job with the dance, I was just not a big fan of the Waltz. The Paso Doble is just such a fun, passionate dance. Though I'm sure it's harder to make a serious dance look good.

Hmmm ... I watched SYTYCD this spring/summer and I was NOT impressed. It was all pretty much *yawn* for me. I guess I'll give it another chance if there is another season since you like it so much. Perhaps I gave up too soon.

As for Sabrina ... she is *still* my favorite. I think that she has an athleticism that the other women (and most of the men, for that matter) do not. No, she's not the skinniest or the fittest dancer out there but that is part of her charm for me.

I also find myself liking Marie ... although I have hated the Osmonds for most of my teen and adult life. She has spunk. I thought that the comment that she had 8 kids was a JOKE but it was NOT! Some of them are adopted, but still .... I have a hard enough time with one kid and she's 2 years older than I am with EIGHT. Wow.

My "boy" votes have to go for Cameron and Helio. Kudos to Cameron and Edyta for stepping up to that AWFUL music. Ha ha. Big joke on them. They did great! Helio seems to be having so much fun that I can't help but smile.

well i guess if you don't care about technical movements and people who can ACTUALLY dance it would be boring.

my DH2B and i are always so annoyed with anytime we see Donnie or Marie Osmond on Entertainment Tonight, i was always so annoyed by them, but i actually do like Marie on this show. she's fun to watch. i still don't like how Donnie is so nasty about anyone who ISN'T his sister that is on the show.

oh god, honestly....krumping is NOT dancing. it just looks like someone having a seziure on the dance floor. it's horrible.

now.....i love Wade, don't get me wrong. but this past season on SYTYCD i didn't like ANY of his choreography. tonight his performance was....ok. i think it was song choice for me tho....the song was so boring i really could care less if someone was dancing to it.

i'll always love his choreography to Ramalama Bang Bang tho! that was genius!

And why is the King of Botox back embarassing himself with a awful rendition of one his hits?

Dear DWTS producers, couldn't we just get on with who will be back next week, please! And, producers, please stop it already with the craptacular song choices for the various dances.

i hate that the results show is an hour long. it's unnecessary. it could easily be a half hour long. Wayde Robson is usually a great cheorographer, but this past year on SYTYCD none of his numbers have impressed me. and tonight's really didn't impress me, either.

Wayne Newton needs to just realize that his 15 minutes of fame have been over for about 20 years now.

i was a wee bit dissapointed in mel B tonight. Did anyone notice her bratty facial expressions tonight? I don't know, maybe i'm completley wrong, but i won't be sad to see her go when the day comes...
