Joey-- WONDERFUL! Lots of fun. Thought Kim was gonna get stuck in his mike. Great partner matchup.

Paulina- Loved her, she was soooo graceful. Little stiff like she was afraid she was going to be dropped. Guess she's a long way from the ground. May not have the fan base to stay though.

Apollo-- Great, needs to get the hips shaking, did well on the footwork. Great partner matchup too, probably the best matchup.

Shandi- Good, needs to loosen up alot & try to be more graceful.

Laila- Really good, something seems a little off though, maybe its because her arms are so big.

John-- Very good! Seems like a natural dancer.

Clyde-- Did very well, needs to loosen up alot though!

Ian- Did really well, needs to loosen up alot and learn to shake it some. Another one that might not have the fan base to stay for a while.

Leeza-- Really really bad, no real sense of rhythym. Kind of reminded me of a truck driver.

Heather-- Seems like she doesn't fit in with the others as far as personality. Did very well dancing. Figure she might be one of the first to go if not the first because of the fan base. Of course the handicapped fans might keep her going. I think the Paul McCartney issue is what's really gonna hurt her.

Billy Ray-- Not as bad as they made it seem, but not real good. If he concentrated a little harder he might be better. Maybe one of the first to go, but then again strong fan base due to Miley.

I was very surprised at the scoring tonight. They really undermarked everyone I think. It seemed to really be slow until Joey came out then it started picking up some.

Surprised that Louis is off the show. Heard he's in business with Lisa Rhinna, wonder if that's why. I did hear Ashley was pregnant so that's why she's not on.

I'm gonna guess that the real competion this year is gonna be between Joey, Apollo, Laila, and Clyde. Ian, Paulina, and Shandi have potential, but I think they are a little too stiff to go the distance.

In my case its not a McCartney worship thing, I just think she really just handled herself very badly with everything. Seemed too money hungry-- was making all kinds of allegations. Personally I like Paul alot, but he lost major points with me when I read that he & his wife used to hide drugs in their children's clothes to smuggle them in other countries.

I didn't realize how hot Apolo was either--WOW!

I'm a first time watcher and the ones I'll be keeping my eye on are Ian, Joey and Apollo. Thought all of them did well. Give me a few more weeks, and I'm sure I'll narrow it down to a favorite.

Woooo! Hotter than ever! Didn't think that was possible! Go Apolo go! He looked as though he was having so much fun! Looked good too! ... Saved him for last, figures!! Sheesh. Have I mentioned how good he looked? Oh yeah and the dancing... not bad sweet thang! Interesting contrast to the way we're used to seeing him. It seems that so much of the short track training, most likely trains the body exactly contrary to what dancers would need to do. Loose back, bent over as opposed to upright posture, etc.

I'm not terribly familiar with a lot of the other stars, but thought Ian looked wonderful. Joey looked pretty good too. John/Cliffy looked as though he was having a ball!

I am a DWTS newbie, usually watch AI, but have to admit, I MUCH prefer the judges from DWTS! Decisive, diplomatic and they don't interrupt one another. Ah, refreshing!!

I enjoyed the show. I thought John Raztenburg did GREAT! (low expectations lead to a nice surprise)

Louie has apparently stated on his blog that he didn't like having to dance with tall women and wouldn't be participating this year.

There's an entry on Wikipedia for the show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_with_the_Stars_(US_TV_series) ) that I found last night during the performances. It was being live updated with the judges scores while the show was on.

Yea, some of those actors on 90210 were not high school age when they were playing those parts.

I really enjoyed watching Apolo, Joey and Ian last night.

Looks like it's going to be a really good season.

I loved the show last night but was getting impatient waiting for Apolo I hope he'll go first next time. I thought he did great considering he didn't practice as much as the others.

I agree with other posters that Apolo looked hot, hot, hot!

I remember watching Ian on 90210, that Steve was always getting into trouble.

I thought Joey did the best job out of the three last night with his performance. It will be interesting to watch next week.

I didn't like Leeza at all, she was so stiff, and I just can't stannd Heather Mills.

Okay, I'm trying to remember who Louie was paired with that he would make that comment about "tall" women. I really liked him, but thought he looked kindof like a snob. The same with Karina Smirnoff. She's my favorite dancer, but I think she would be a really difficult personality in real life.

I think I will also pick a favorite woman dancer. IIRC all the winners have been men. Although I love to see the men dance, I think it would be cool to see a woman win. I think the judges give the men more slack than the women.

I'll watch next week (since I missed the first hour) and pick out a couple favorites.

I agree with a pp who said it is unfair that Cheryl Burke always gets the young, popular guys who have the best potential. How come she never gets a Jerry Springer, or Cliff?

That being said, I love Ian!

Why would they put the very shortest girl (5'4) with the very tallest guy? The one other gal (forget who) said she was 5'11. That would have made more sense!

I don't love Heather or hate her. Like a pp said, it takes 2 to make a marriage fail. We don't know the inside of their relationship. But I give her a lot of credit for coming on the show. She knows the world is against her because of her divorce, and she has a disability, and she still came out. Good for her.

I like Joey too.

I hope Billy Ray stays around for a while. He is funny.

The one gal is only 18! Some of those pros have many more years experience than her! Probably twice as much!

Looks like a good season, I like most of them!

I wondered about Ashley, where she was, if she is pregnant, congrats to her!

Does anyone know, did Mario and Katrina stay together?
