Dancing with the Stars - Season 4: Official Thread

I think I read somewhere that she's engaged but has postponed the wedding due to her lengthy stay on DWTS.

I heard she broke her engagement but Apolla said it wasnt because of him and that they were just friends:rolleyes1

While they certainly have a connection, it could just be that she realized she's way too young to get married. She is only 18 after all.

I had only heard that the wedding was delayed, not completely canceled - although I don't think a new date was set, which is usually a sign...

Well, well, well Miss Kimmie. I never thought the day would come that I would ever say I am totally charmed by Dorkboy.:rotfl2:

I was rooting for him all the way

OMG MARILYN!!!! I almost choked on my cheerios!!:rotfl: Well I thought my day was complete when my guy won that cheesy trophy, but no.... NOW my day is complete! I love and miss you beyond oodles Tankchick!!!

Now see! I tole' ya'll! :p Heeee's a charmer! :p Mwahahaha! Does this mean my bestest buds have all fallen to the dorkside?!? Woo hoo!!! :teeth:

I believe that, I really didn't see anything more then a friend connection between them.

I just watched Laila and Joey on the View. Laila is so cute, I just love her. Joey's great too. I really did like all 3 of the finalists last night, first time thats happened.

Out of curiousity, I did some googling last night and found where her BF (Zach Wilson) was interviewed last night. He was actually there for the final show and was sitting with her mother. He had been in China for a month on a dance/singing tour. The article said there were several people brought on stage for a pre-show kind of thing, and he was one of them.

I believe he's 24 or 25, and the article said he was tall, dark, and very handsome. I never found a picture of him though. He's also Mormon like she is, and they met about 10 years ago when they were both taking dance lessons. Apparently, he's been a professional dancer up until now but has decided to go to dental school now.

Who knows, but they were both adamant that they were still a couple, just postponing marriage for awhile due to all she has going on (of course, you never know). I would hate to see her get married this young personally.

Well, here's my totally uninformed take on things, as a total stranger interpreting someone else's personal life...

Julianne's father also said in an interview that a romance with Apolo was "not gonna happen."

Obviously, the family knows the fiance and approved of the engagment at the ludicrous age of 18. They are Mormon, although probably not on the strictest level, since her parents are divorced. But aside from that, seem to be a traditional family, lots of kids, encouraging this young marriage, the Boyfriend was a BYU student, went on a mission, wants to be a dentist.

So that's the life that was seemingly mapped out for Julianne - get married at 18, become the most talented dentist's wife in all of Salt Lake City.

And here this opportunity comes along, she is so hugely successful on the show, she's recorded two singles that will certainly benefit from her win on the show, and because of her great relationship with Apolo, she's all over the place with media appearances, award shows, premieres....

And she's supposed to give all that up, and go back to Salt Lake and marry the dentist? For her sake, I hope not. This opportunity may never come again, and if her family (and her boyfriend) care about what she wants, they ought to encourage her to seize this opportunity, not get married and settle down at a ridiculously young age.

The vibe I am getting from the articles quoting her family and her boyfriend are that they want things to go back to the way they were before the show.

Ok, Ok, Ok, I can't stand to see you cry.:rolleyes2

I will go to the Dorkside for a day or so :worship: and then it is back to making fun of the dorkyskaterboy!!!!:yay:

I hereby profess and confess that I, Pam (being of questionable sound mind and body), on this date and therefore after, solemnly promise and swear to NEVER, EVER poke fun at Dorkboyonastick, aka Apolo Anton Ohno.

(Because that boy can shake his groove thing!!          )

Pam you are of questionable sound mind but your body rocks!!!:cool1:

I have to agree that the dorkyboy can shake his thing but we must not let Kim get out of control. She will start the whole 'I told you so' and I am not ready to give in to her.:scared:

Just in case this thread is still about DWtS and not just another private joke thread, Joey Fatone was interviewed on Howard Stern yesterday.

Stern asked Joey to comment on rumors that John Ratzenburger had been a *badword* on the set - Joey said no, not to him. What rumors? I never heard anything like that.

Anyway, after saying some really nice things about Kym, his dance partner, for some reason he decided to be really crude and start talking about how much Kym wanted him, and he could have had her anytime and using some really crude euphemisms.

He also said that he thought Apolo and Julianne had slept together during the show - again using a crude euphemism.

Of course he dismissed it all with a "just kidding", but I couldn't believe how rude he was - Julianne is 18, a practicing Mormon, and she has a boyfriend. I'm sure she was delighted to be talked about that way on the radio. And it was really rude to Kym, who worked so hard to train him all season.

What a jerk.

:lmao: Thanks for sharing that about Joey. I thought he was supposed to be a nice guy. That's too bad that he had to say those things. I'm really glad he didn't win then.

And I hope you're right about Julianne. I hope she decides to live her life a little more before getting married. I would imagine she would at least be on the next DWTS.

sorry if this has been posted already:

just rewatched the show (DD couldn't watch the first time) .... did anyone else notice Joey's daughter Briahna's costume - it matched Kym's Star Wars costume - it was so cute!!!!!:)

His daughter was cute. She really looks like a combination of Joey and his wife.

Sorry about your perception of private jokes, but you have to realize that there are some people around here who have liked Apolo since his first appearance in the Olympics and the perceived joke is just a celebration for that person and her favorite crush who happened to win Dancing With the Stars.

Definitely glad he didn't win now! The fact that he would even agree to go on the Howard Stern show is enough for me. He knew which direction the conversation would go... :sad2:

Have to agree with above poster. I don't care for Howard Stern and don't know why Joey would go on his show when Dancing with the Stars is geared more the family audience but everyone wants their publicity and 10 minutes of fame.:confused3
