Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2025

I don't follow her at all, so I didn't know she was saying that she was robbed of the mirrorball. Under those circumstances, yeah. I can understand that would be considered disrespectful. Still, I'm going to find it and watch it. I said earlier that I was interested in seeing what Mark had cooked up for her.

FWIW, I vaguely recall another star who was eliminated in the semi-finals who performed their freestyle on their own. Or am I just imagining things?
Just remember that they were able to produce this in a way it would not have been on the show. Complete costume changes, even more effects, etc. AND that they were able to perform it without having performed 2 other dances...and not live so they could re-do if they messed up. It's obviously going to appear far superior. I'd have been more inclined to seek it out (I only saw it thanks to it showing up in Threads) if I knew they had filmed and performed it in very similar conditions to how it would have been on the show.

I don't want to compare it to the dances. I just want to see what Mark did with her. I thought they were a good team.

Imo, they shouldn't have been eliminated when they were, though not my pick to win.I think they should accumulate the scores every week and have the judges scores play more of a factor than a popularity contest to decide the "winner'

Then anyone with prior dance experience like her will be guaranteed a win. Then the show turns into So You Think You Can Dance with a bunch of dancers dancing and no beginners.

At the end of the day what bothers me is the threats/comments that mark and whitney have received. No one and I mean NO ONE should receive any of those kind of comments. I've seen clips of the podcast and i feel for them with what they received

I'm just saying you're seeing what he did with her AND extra staging/processing/filming that they wouldn't have gotten on the show.

Or they'd be forced to have either ALL contestants with former dance experience or ALL contestants with no former dance experience.

Yikes, I haven’t watched any clips. I’m assuming it was very ugly. Honestly, there has been a lot of threatening talk on social media for many of the contestants.

Then invite either or don't.Better than someone being "given ' a trophy heavily based on popularity or eliminated because people hate them for unrelated issues.I could see why some celebrities wouldn't want to embarass themselves by being on the show, when the results have "almost" nothing to do with being judged on skill.Val said it best before the winner was announced, imo

I just watched Mark and Whitney's freestyle. Pouf! Mind blown! It was really really good. I don't know how I feel about people with dance experience being on the show. :scratchin:scratchin. It does seem unfair to those without, but it is fun to watch someone who's really good and not being dragged across the floor.

I watched the one on the DWTS subreddit:

It was really good, as I expected it to be. It told a cohesive story, from start to finish and the production value was off the charts. They were able to do many things out of the live ballroom that they would never be able to do inside the live show.

I read the thread and found out I was right. V-V-Val did an after elimination freestyle with Olivia Jade:

FWIW, both post-elimination freestyles were done with the blessing of ABC. Whitney's freestyle even had the regular announcer at the start.
