Really? That's a shame for the dancers paired up with stiffs like Kathy Ireland or Macy Gray. I like them both, but I don't know if any of the dance instructors could have gotten them much further...

One thing I've pondered regarding the pairings is if a well known pro say, for instance Cheryl, gets paired with a "left-footed" partner like Tom Delay. Did she ask for someone who wasn't going to get very far because she wants the exposure from DWTS although, has other commitments? This way she gets the best of both worlds. She is keeping her face out in the public and she can still make a living doing whatever else she has going on.

I just wish that they would pair those tall girls with tall guys. Kathy Ireland (that is her name, isn't it?) just about overwhelmed her partner in height. Of course, if the star is awfully tall, there is nothing that can be done but in the girls case......

I'm wondering if they purosely had to partner her up with a "left-footed" partner this time. She had sexy, graceful Giles last time. People would say this thing is fixed if she ended up with another gorgeous, hottie.

The only pairing I think might have been requested NOT to happen was for Donny to be paired up with Edyta. She wears too little clothes for his moral sensibilities. As much as he wanted to do this show, his morals migh have made him decline had he been paired up with Slutinska.

Donny (and Marie) have both said in the past that they were offered roles or hit songs that were just too sexy for them to do, even though it would have propelled their careers to the next level. Those songs with overly suggestive lyrics went on to be offered to other singers who did propel their careers because of it.

Marie said she was originally offered the role of Sandy in Grease, but didn't want to do the last scene where they sexed up Sandy. She said when she read it, it was even more than what Olivia Newton John ended up having to do.

You definitely have more than me although, I must say I've got a special place in my heart for Donny as well.

I can see Marie playing Sandy but I think that Olivia was best for the part.

Was it just me? I was watching Louie & Chelsea's dance and I really didn't think he did a lot of footwork. He kind of stood, planted himself while she twirled and girated around him. It almost looked like it was her dance being judged and not his.


Donny's dance is coming up. I hope he can be sexy.

Mine too, but I hated his partner enough that I wasn't so sad to see him go. I don't think his heart was really in it this season.

Tom DeLay quit because of his feet. No surprise. BUT, DWTS went on with the elimination and got rid of Debi. I don't think it's fair since we have no idea how Tom's votes may have be distributed if he had quit last night. Some of Debi's votes may have been sucked up by Tom's sympathy votes.

They just didn't tell Debi she was at the bottom and would have been the one sent home, but Tom is going home instead in her spot?

Isn't that going to screw up the number of episodes? Now they are down an extra person.

Quite frankly, I was happy to see both Debi and Tom go. They were taking up prime viewing time for the other, more interesting people. And for that matter, I really didn't have a problem with any of the couples who were in the "jeopardy" group.

I know Louie isn't the best dancer, but he has a cute personality and it is fun to watch his interactions with Chelsea. I'm still rooting for my childhood heart throb, Donny even though he needs a lot of work. Mya seems to be the most advanced "star," but Natalie is coming right along and I think she will give Mya a run for her money.

I actually meant Cheryl, I didn't think about putting it in white. I'm not really a fan of Max.

I like Cheryl too . But we knew that she would be gone ... Tom could not dance with two stress fractures. I thought it was nice of them to offer for him to come back and two the two-step. BTW, I thought that the song "Why can't we be friends" and the costumes were HILARIOUS! I didn't like Tom DeLay politically but I came to like him on the show ... and that says a lot 'cause I'm a Yellow Dog Dem. He had a sense of humor, showmanship and guts that really impressed me.

As for Maks, I don't think his heart was in it at all. I think that the friction between he and Debi was very real. I watched the professionals on stage during the elimination. Anna looked resigned (IMO, Michael should go next), Derek looked worried and shocked, Karina looked very worried (I thought she was going to chew her lip off!) and Maks ... Maks looked hopeful.

I don't know what they're going to do about the number of episodes. My guess is that they may have scheduled in a double elimination somewhere along the way because of the history of injuries on the show.
