Dancing sure has changed...

Where those boys hands....and was that little girl on the floor doing.....and ..and.. and.. oh ick.. I had to turn it off! Dear mercy!!

Wow! Just when I think there is some hope for the world, something like this comes along. Sad! I don't blame the kids. They don't know any better. The disturbing and disgusting thing is the parents encouraging and demonstrating for the kids. I'm hoping this wasn't filmed in the US. I'd like to think our laws would protect children from parents like these.

That was disturbing. What the heck is wrong with those adults thinking that was ok for those children to do? That was way beyond dancing.

That was just sick. I had to turn it off after I saw them put the 2 little ones together and make them "dance." When they weren't doing it :"right" the one woman came in and "danced" with the little boy, what, like 3 years old?? That was it for me. Seriously....that's just disturbing and sick. I wonder what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling.

I think one of the things that got me the most was the fact that the adults were actually cheering on the kids. The way they were dancing (I'm hoping that they don't know what those moves mean), it seems like it wasn't the first time they had danced like that. It seemed so natural to them, sadly.

No offense at all OP, but I think you should make your warning even stronger....as in "VERY disturbing, underage children invovled" in this video...I do wish I hadn't even clicked on it...:guilty:

I'm sorry, I thought saying

:::Warning::: Some of the dance moves are extremely suggestive and performed by young children...

would imply that the children would be underage.

My intent wasn't to disgust anybody by any means. I was just curious to see how people would feel regarding this video versus the "Single Ladies" video from a couple of weeks ago.

If I say that's extremely inappropriate, does that mean I'm just looking at innocent children who don't REALLY know what they're doing and *I* must be a pervert? They ARE, after all, wearing much more clothes than people wear at the beach. :confused3 And it's just a birthday party. And it shouldn't have been posted on the Internet; if it wasn't posted on the Internet, no one would be talking about it. Did I cover all the arguments?

Where are they learning this? I'm guessing from those adults who were correcting them on their technique, and judging them, from what I saw (which wasn't much, because I find sexual exploitation of children rather disgusting).

My first and last post on this thread![/QUOTE

You can't always blame the parents. Well in this case you can, but not always. My 7 yr old DD dances like a stripper. Loves to shake her butt, shimmy her hips, enen drop it to the ground. She doesn't watch BET or no rap videos and she's never seen it from me or her dad. Add to that she hates wearing clothes and I see a profitable future ahead of her. At least she can pay her way through college.

Wow. Shouldn't the parents be facing charges? They may be thinking this is cute or something, because lots of people like to see kids act like little adults and this is probably the way these parents dance, but come on. This is sexual exploitation and I really hope it's investigated at least. Plus, I can't imagine that all the parents of those kids were okay with this (i.e. the parents who weren't there and thought their kids were at a normal b-day party).:sad2:

Do you normally have such a hard time letting go of a former thread??

I didn't have an issue with the Single Ladies video, but this one is totally different. This one is not a choreographed dance on a stage. This is little boys and girls dancing suggestively and more so than many older teens and adults do! :scared1:

The kids may have learned it from any number of videos or movies, but someone should be correcting them at the time the dance is going on. Kids see a lot they shouldn't but the adults in their lives should be telling them what is and what is not appropriate to do.

The person filming it should not have put it on the internet for anyone to see what these kids are doing. Watching them and filming them without stopping it is totally irresponsible and putting it on the internet is just over the top irresponsible. I don't know why people think that is a proper thing to do.

Our school has dances for kids from k-5 and then a separate dance for 6-8. We have never even seen the kids dance much less dance like this!! The k-5 dance is mostly a huge play room set to music. I can't imagine them having the nerve to even try dancing this way!!

Haha! I'm glad that you can see the talent your child has. Maybe she'll buy you a brand new purdy house too! But in her defense, she is most likely not shimmying with a boy glued to her butt with his hands on her hips.

Wow, that was disturbing to watch, and I am one of the ones who didn't have a huge problem with the Single Ladies dance. In that one you didnt have one of those girls wrap her legs around a male counterparts waist while he held her up against the wall and thrust his pelvis into hers, or have an adult help hold her up while he was doing it :scared1: This video is not dancing, this video is disgusting.

Nevermind! My response isn't PC enough for the DIS, not worth the points.

OMG, that is disgusting. What is wrong with people????:sad2:

I ha dto turn it off when the grown woman was trying to get a little boy (maybe 5 years old he was not very big???) to do the dance with her.

To me that looked an awful lot like child abuse. An adult, who knew full well what the dance was simulating, trying to get a small child to do that with/to her.

Sick. absolutely sick
