....my DSs and niece and nephew are headed your way (well, sorta....they're going snowboarding in Vermont)...

Awesome. Hope they have a good time. I'd like to visit Vermont.

....:scratchin......aren't they your neighbors? :confused3 [Vermonters, that is]...

They are mine, being right next door. We love VT. DS goes to camp WAY up there (almost to Canada). DH and I used to go to Stowe for our anniversary every spring. It's a nice place to go pretty much any time of the year!

I need to check it out someday.

:lmao:

Now I'm going to be heading to bed thinking of Guy Pearce from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

It's 14 here but there's more. freaking. snow. :headache::headache::headache: Not supposed to amount to much which translates to "Meh let's not bother to treat the roads" in DOT speak. I guess this is going to happen for most of the day then at some point there's a break, then rain comes, but of course since it'll drop below freezing overnight, tomorrow could begin with freezing rain first. SO sick of the weather messing with my life and schedule!!!!!! (I usually food shop Friday after work, or first thing Sat....... Right now, not looking hopeful).

The root of the issue, really, is my truck. :guilty: I have a huge sentimental attachment to it, as it was my dad's, plus it IS a southern vehicle (no rust/rot) with very low miles, but it is just not a northern truck. It's rear-wheel drive, and even with the studded snows on it, it's not great in the snow. Part of me wants to sell it in the spring and get another Explorer, but part of me wants to hang on to it and hopefully bring it back to the South in a couple of years!!

Ugh.....

It's supposed to be freezing rain tomorrow morning when my daughter has to drive to work. Ugh Then it will warm up to the 40's for a few days which actually is not good. Heavy rain and flooding is expected. Then when the temp drops at night there is a flash freeze and everything is glare ice. Dangerous driving and walking.

I understand your feelings with your truck. I wouldn't want to drive it in the winter either. I also would have some attachment to it with it being your Dad's.

I understand the attachment. Can the truck survive the winter for a few years? As you know, southern things don't do too well in all that cold. Myself included.

.....sooooo, it was about 4 degrees on Monday and the weather report said that eventual temperature hike by the end of the week, with a high on Saturday of almost 59 degrees! So why did it SNOW again (about an inch) today??!?!?!?!? I cannot take much more of this crazy weather!

We're in the 90's. Thankfully, a cool change breezed through this morning and we're down in the 70's. Back up to 100's next week.

I will gladly average out the temps here with you all. Sadly, I don't have a directly line to Mother Nature to ask her. :sad2:

Melbourne temperature forecast for this week:

Mon 35 C
Tue 41 C
Wed 39 C
Thu 41 C
Fri 39 C

Yup. Into the 100's all this week. :faint:
