Let's talk when you have something locked in. I might be Mickey cheating with Harry after.

For sure! I'm really waiting for Southwest to release airfare and hoping for Disney to release some kind of discount. :thumbsup2

Oh.. and you know me... I'm usually a middle of the night Disser too....

Who else is flippin freezing? I was crazing ice cream.... but it's 14 degrees...:crazy2:

So.... my 5 year old decided to sneak a can of Pepsi into daycare with him today... Can you imagine.... :lmao: I have to check his pockets before I drop him off... See.. (although I love his preschool... for the most part)... ( I also cannot wait for him to get out of there).... We've been there way too long... and when my oldest was a baby, it was great, and not so many darn rules... They used to have parties for birthdays, and holidays... now, they have more rules about what they can't do, and what they are not aloowed to have that it's just no fun anymore)... For example... Valentines day is now.. "friendship day" and they can send in cards, but they can't even attach a lolly pop or anything... they used to have parties, and parents brought all kinds of stuff in.. for birthdays, they are not allowed to have chocolate cupcakes.. or icing.. just a vanilla cupcake.. ( and it can only be a certain brand)... OH.. and now.. did you know that the boys aren't allowed to bring in any kind of "SUPER HERO".... no Superman, no Bat Man.. no BUZZ LIGHT YEAR.... they say it is a bad influence on the boys... UM.... when was the last time it was bad to look up to a super hero??? (I get that maybe they might get a little hyper if they think they are super strong.. or whatever..)... BUT... they don't have a problem with the girls dressing up as princesses.... talk about discrimination... In my opinion.. I think it gives the girls a false sense of reality.. it they think life is happily ever after and prince charming... OH well.. ok.. sorry.. enough of my venting...

Sorry..... didn't mean to go there... In any event... I know he's not supposed to bring soda to daycare... but it's kinda funny... I'll have to make sure he doesn't do that again..

I realize I am way behind, but I am just reading this and those rules seem to be getting ridiculous. No super heros:confused3

.....yes - instead, let's have PIRATES to look up to as role models....:rolleyes1

You didn't, really....it was relayed to me over Starbuck's coffee last week but I am still laughing about it and couldn't resist the opportunity to reference it here.

His mom was afraid he'd be kidnapped while out running, because, y'know, "....everyone wants a 42-yr. old man!" :lmao::rotfl2:

I am so behind on this thread. I have been searching and searching for this story that I missed and now I realize you heard it in person. :lmao:

Been hectic around here lately. Too many storms including one last night. My daughter was on her way to work one morning when it had been snowing and was in an accident. She ended up on the other side of the rode, facing the opposite direction and hitting a telephone pole. They totalled her truck even though it was only the side of the truck bed that was smashed. After the tow truck pulled her out, my husband drove it home. Thankfully she is ok.

Oh my goodness! I am so glad your daughter is okay.

PT went well today. I'm almost to the point where I don't need it anymore. There's just a couple of issues that I have and I've got exercises to work on those things specifically. I'm approved for pretty much all forms of exercise, and have been getting on the elliptical, bike, and swimming. It's been so nice to get back into a routine. Starting to feel more like myself again.

So glad your DD was okay! Scary. I'm sure that weather is causing all types of accidents.

I may be driving up to Disney tomorrow. Just for the day. Just to see somebody.

So glad that your daughter is okay. But that is one scary story.

Thank you. To make the story even 'better'..... my daughter makes very little at her job and she has been bleeding us dry. We recently put $2000 on our credit card to rebuild her transmission, put in new rocker panels and other parts needed for inspection. Grrrrrr We do not use our credit cards often. They are more for an emergency or things like unexpected card repair. We would have a zero balance if it wasn't for her truck. Now we get the joy of paying for these parts after the truck has been totalled.

Ha... glad you reminded me.. this was bugging me... so I took it a step farther and I e-mailed the corporate offices for the center. (it's a national chain),,, in anyevent.. GUESS WHAT,,,, They do NOT have an official ban on super heros.... (it's just something my center decided to ban on their own...) so guess who made some trouble for them... :scratchin and guess who brought in a super hero for share day the next day...

Oh.. just rub it in.... wishing we were closer... I just spent an hour talking to a co-worker who just returned from a wedding in Florida and a mini trip to Disney... I have the urge so bad.. and major withdrawls.. It's been over a year since I was in Florida.

I keep telling my DD that she needs to find a swim meet in florida and get a Q-time so we HAVE to go.. my DH couldn't say no if she earned it. My DD is actually on her way to a district meet this afternoon. she is the only Freshman from her team to make it.. and actually only one of 4 girls... she qualified in an individual event... so it;s a big deal. Ive been told that when shes a junior thats when the colleges will start approaching her at these big district meets. next weekend is Junior Olympics.. it will be her last year for that since it only goes up to age 14. the weekend beofe Easter is a Senior champs meet that's another USA meet that you need to have Q-times for. I'm just happy she made it to Districts. she's not seeded that high, so I don't expect her to move on the States, but since she's just a Freshman, that's ok, she has time. proud mama.
